Here is Australia 50 years ago there were prison sentences for homosexuality and the state governments have apologised for their stand to homosexuals that were imprisoned. This position is now seen like the dark ages and some of the young generation just find it hard to believe.
And yet Australia didn't make discrimination against LGBT people unlawful until 2013 and 60% of young LGBT Australians report experiencing homophobic verbal abuse.
