If experiments prove this true, it really means there are two classes of science. One class that can be comprehended and one which cannot be! The issue with this is that comprehension relies on logic and reason, and logic and reason are the premise for the meaning of the word rational. The idea that one thing can be two obviously goes against reason and also logic and therefore is not rational. Does this mean that one class of science is not rational yet works anyway, due to experiments proving the reality of the existence of irrationality in this way?

Broad and Spacious Road to Destruction, or Narrow Gate to Life??
by stuckinarut2 inso we all know of the parable / illustration at matt 7:13.
"go in through the narrow gate, because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones finding it, or going in through it".
here is a brain snapping thought that hit me!:.

Up until the 2013 revision of the NWT of the bible, there was no wide gate in their translation, just the broad road that’s leads to destruction without its wide gate. The narrow road still had its gate, which the WT thinks of as itself. The WTs position seemed to have been that everyone by default is on the wide road that leads to destruction, unless they switch roads by going in through the WT gate. By omitting one of the gates in their old translation, (unlike other translations do) it automatically gave credence to the idea that all are doomed unless action is taken. However the fact that both roads have gates on them gives the default position as not destruction or life, but instead undecided or undetermined.
For some reason, their new 2013 revision has put the wide gate back into its correct place, so now both roads have their gates. One would like to think that this might be due to a softening of attitudes by the WT to groups who have not yet got a track record of good or bad i.e. not entered a gate yet. Such groups are the ignorant, children, deceived and so on. However I doubt this is the case as cults can never allow for Gods mercy on the undecided and the ignorant. They talk the talk but never walk the walk in this regard. So who knows what the real motive was for cutting one of the gates out, or the putting back in of it.

It’s obviously not rational to think that particles can be in two places at once. Interesting!

You can check out the guy’s credentials if you like. He was who he says he was.
No one can compel belief in anything but I would not censor a professional’s experience and opinion either.

Twice it’s happened to me when relatives have died. Once was a strange light at the moment an aunt died in hospital that I saw at home when I was about 11. We didn’t know she was going to die but 5 minutes of thereabout after I saw the light; the hospital rang to say she died. Some might say coincidence and hallucination but I don’t think so personally.
The second time was a year ago or thereabouts, when my cousin died of a heart attack. The day he died I had the very strong feeling that someone was going to die of a heart attack that was close to me. My brain reasoned that if it was a true feeling then it would be my dad because I could not think who else it could be, as my dad is in his mid-70s but my cousin was only 53. The same day, unbeknown to me at the time, my aunt who helped raise my cousin was thinking about this cousin all day, and like me she should could not figure out why such thoughts, and in my case a feelings, would not go away.
It was the next day we found out that he had died, and then the pieces started to fit together. I’m not prone to worry over normally fleeting feelings or worries about relatives dying like that, but this one would not be banished in the normal way.
I know friends as well where other stuff, along these lines, has happened to them. I don’t expect anyone to believe me but there it is.

I believe we don’t go to another dimension after we die but something else entirely. A domain, for use of a better word, that isn’t a dimension at all but a realm of non-physicality. In a way though the details don’t matter because there is plenty of evidence for something else after this life, as there is for something before this universe.
Science explains nature but nature doesn’t explain science, if you get my drift. Also if you talk to people about anything odd that may have happened when a relative dies, the answers will sometimes be a surprise. There will always be someone, if you ask, that can tell you something in this regard.

To label fiction as fact is never justified nor should it be condoned.

the bible is held up by many christians as the word of god, and as such many christians base their entire moral fabric on the bible which they perceive figuartivly penned of god.. so do the posters on this site, be they christian, athiest or agnostic agree that the books that make up the bible should be held to the light and if they are myths, and fiction that this should be exposed?.

There is no doubt that the bible often does have the effect of reinforcing unhealthy and morally dubious attitudes. I find it interesting though that some of what Jesus said about the bible of 2000 years ago, which was called `the law and the prophets` or old testament, seems to discourage an over reliance of their bible as the ultimate source of authority. This gets missed unfortunately by many who read both testaments. As well as this, the priestly system and the prophet system were always at odds with each other. The priestly system was akin to the right wing side and the prophet system was like the counterbalancing left wing side. This self-correcting system only worked when the two sides worked together, but the implications of all this is fascinating and should be a cause for great concern for those who place the bible so high, that it might as well be a God!

I’m a Christian and yes I think the bible should be subject to such test. Mind you I am not a literalist or a fundamentalist. I tend to hate what I call biblical idolatry and its attendant virtual worship of a book written by human beings.
