Does anyone out there understand how i feel?

my name is tim, im 23, from the uk, and im currently a jw!.

ok... to cut a long story short... i love serving jehovah but ive begun now to embrace my sexuality as a gay man.. although im still attending the meetings, praying to jehovah and trying my hardest, i can no longer lie to myself about my sexuality.. i have had enough of feeling depressed and confused now - its killing me!!!.

does anyone else know what i feel like?

Take a moment to sit and allow your mind to be still of all religious beliefs. Just feel the aliveness of nature within and around you.

Feel for yourself how this is the actual, silent (yet buzzing) alivness of what the word G-O-D points to. It is infinitly more valid than anything written in a book or preached from a stage.

See how the actual consciousness that views all does not judge you or anything. It is all inclusive. IT is the loving foundation on which all exists.

"Gayness", is not less or more than anything else. Nothing to be ashamed of. Nothing to fear.

Go with the natural flow and stop trying to swim against the current.

Wanted to get reinstated... Almost ready to give up

i'd like to hear from anyone who was disfellowshipped but fully intended to go back as soon as possible and how that worked out or didn't.

i'd like to hear how soon you went back to meetings, how many letters requesting reinstatement you wrote, how you were treated, and how long it took you to get bitter and jaded.... or in the off chance you had a positive experience, what exactly happened.. really struggling here... thanks!.

i`ve recieved an email from one of the dearest people i know,here on jwn... shelby had major surgery at the end of february..she is just getting her strength back... this thread is for her... leave a message..say a prayer..send good vibes... it all helps when a person is recovering... thanks... .

Shelby, dear, who is the "adversary", is it not one who would diminish the Divine to a thing, a deity, a person, and object? Rather than accentuate That which has no beginning or end and so can not be defined? Are you then, not that "adversary"???

Who here most accentuates a tiny god, one who walks into your room and talks to you like any other little man. It's you Shelby. It's you.

Your talk is sweet, but it's poison as it is nothing more than a huge EGO that thinks it is gods special and humble little messenger. The true Source, doesn't need you or anyone, Shelby. Get off your high horse, dear, and surrender.

if i want to forgive someone, it's not necessary for me to punish anyone.

it makes absolutely no sense to me, why an almighty, loving god would punish his son, for an offense that someone else committed.

That the Source of all universes (and there may be infinite universes), is attributable to some Deity and Son, is -- as has already been mentioned -- archaic nonsense. Small gods for small minds. So we wouldn't expect the stories about these fictitious creatures to make much sense either. That said, it's not bad, it's just the way it is, the way the limited mind attempts to make sense of an existence which is infinity more real and raw than can ever be conceptually understood.

The key is to stop trying to understand it all; and instead just dissolve into the aliveness.

No Spiritual Heritage

for the born/raised ins, do you feel that you no longer have a spiritual heritage/background/traditions?

i was sitting at my desk absentmindedly humming a "kingdom melody" from the brown songbook, when i realized what i was doing and made myself stop.

there were songs that i really enjoyed.

last week i wrote to my parents telling them that i no longer believe in their god.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/198664/1/a-letter-to-my-parents-stating-i-dont-believe-in-the-org-anymore.

my dad finally responded and in one of his sentences he said that the jehovahs witnesses are the only true religion and that i should go back.. so i was thinking with a sincere heart.. if they are the true religion then then can present evidence of it.

so that is my new challenge for him.

And could you then live in total peace forever knowing what you did?

How about common sense questions?

Can you think of a evil more vile than the mass murder of billions of men, women and children? Can you? Can you?

Why would a sensible person place as the "most high and loving" a deity that does just this?

Does this not amount to worshiping "evil" as your god? Who, in their right mind would do this? Who?
