  of course the answer is no!

  i just wanted to share a few things that are on my heart and mind...hope you don't mind reading.

  the church i'm affiliated with has several sister churches around the world.

  the purpose of those relationships is to encourage and help each other grow in our relationship with god and christ, whether it be by spiritual encouragement or physical help.

  What do JW's Do on the 4th?

  pardon my ignorance, having never been a jw, but what do jw's do on the fourth since they don't believe in flag and country?

  can they go to friend's bar-b-ques?

  is it ok if they go to a parade or firework display?

  JWs do on the 4th, the same as they do on all the other holidays...they go out in service and attempt to save heathens. Then, either the day before or the day after, they have their bbqs, turkey or ham dinners.

  I see where Crawdad is coming from. Jesus said something about putting new wine in old wineskins, but his manner is quite...Crawdadish...for lack of a better word.

  Can 'truth' change?

  in another thread i posted the following thought, but i wanted to post this for everyone to see and give their input.. the argument that 'truth' never changes holds no water.

  according to random house webster's dictionary, 'truth' is defined as follows,"conformity with fact or reality".. the word 'conform' is defined as,"to bring into agreement".. if 'truth' never changes, then how can something taught in science that is considered to be 'exact', later be corrected by 'conforming with fact or reality so as to bring into agreement'?
