i had a tattoo done today.. it was actually interesting because as i was chit chatting with the tattoo artist, she asked me if this tattoo symbolized anything....well actually it does i told her.. me: i was a jw and they are strongly against tattoos or anything that is really "normal" for people.. tattoo artist: i know all about jw, my ex-girlfriend's family was all jw, and i remember one time going over to her parents house and her grandma sat us both down and made us read some scriptures from her bible as to why we were going to hell.. me: actually you will due at armageddon, that is the jw thing.. tatt artist: oh right that is what her grandma said.
i forgot about that, you're right.. so then the rest of the conversation was just me telling her it's a cult and i told her never listen to any jw who comes knocking.. something else interesting that happened just before i came on here.

Why do skunks have a bad smell, turtles a shell, spiders a web, snakes venom, lizards color change, porcupines spines, and toads and frogs a toxin to name just a few off the top of my head. They didn't evolve right JW's? So why did God make the veggy eating critters that way?

if a organization is able to disfellowship a member for smoking, why not do the same with other vices and crutches their people use to hide stress, emotional disorders and depression?
employers are asking for a bmi test a their potential employees to create a diet to get healthy.

I've never even heard of one example of a person being DFd for gluttony. Not even one example of a JC to investigate gluttony. No one has the balls to do it. It's a meaningless standard. Impossible to judge. Can you imagine a poor brother or sister crying trying to prove repentance? Never will happen. Dumb.
IMHO many are borderline or actual alcoholics in the congregation. They drink every single day and need it to function. No one will say anything unless they get blasted several times or once in a large group. It all seems so pathetic now.

it doesn't really matter, because the consideration of the bible reading material is one of the shortest parts on the meeting with a limited number of comments, and those comments are restricted to less than 30 seconds or you will get counselled.
over and over, the dubs are told to read the bible, yet the organization gives no real encouragement to read the bible by keeping everyone busy in the recruiting work and using relatively few scriptures in their "talks".. why?

Oh the spiritual arguments and speculation that will spawn from this new light. Know what I'm talking about?
