  Do you still believe in god???

  how many of you still believe in god after your experience of the watchtower?

  do you believe in a different god than the one of the org.

  one who won't destroy somebody just because he wasn't in the good religion.

  the wts will condemn the recent murder and do its best to distance itself from the parents.

  jws will say its the actions of people who are deranged and nothing to do with jws.

  they will say other religious groups harm children.

  I'm not justifying these people murdering a/there child. I am not familiar with this particular case, although I do agree with you that the WTBS will distance themselves from it.

  But I do not recall the WTBS condoning child abuse. How do you consitute child abuse?

  Do you think I want my child not remembering what hit him/her as that big old Ford Explorer/Expedition/Excursion comes barreling down on him/her, well over the speed limit, and then burying them 3 days later? Or would I rather them remember the beating they got from running out in the street... AGAIN?

  And when I say beating I don't mean removing arms and legs.

  I got beat with a metal coat hanger and a horsewhip. Now that's abuse.

  But an open hand on the backside and a slap on the mouth for answering back one too many times? Come on. I'm not talking about fist bashing abuse.

  However, many times I have found that depriving them of something works better. No TV, Games, going to bed early, etc.

  Do You Still Believe a God Cares for You?

  i've been a part of this forum for about one month, and during that time i've been struck by the willingness of many so former jehovah witnesses either to ridicule the bible, or to stand by while it's being ridiculed.

  so, i'm wondering how many of them while witnesses suffered through experiences so searing that they no longer believe in the god of the old testament.. who among you still believe that underneath the layers of contradictions, inconsistencies, and errors in the bible there may be found the words of a god who created the universe, and who also cares about you, personally?.

  you people make it seem like the ONLY people who abuse chidren are Jdubs.

  Check it out people. It's the entire world.

  Look at China -where newborn babies are left in the gutter to die, especially if it is a girl. Made in China? -maybe you are part of the problem. Girls don't make as good a worker as boys. -Read it in one of the ball-and-chains women's mags.

  Look at the child slave industry, that you people buy your clothes from. Got a pair of Nikes? Your're guilty!!! Read that in Penthouse, and the ball-and-chains women's mags.

  Look at the child sex-slave industry in Bangkok.

  The children of the street in Rio DeJenaro that are shot, if I remember correctly, by the police. Ever go to Rio? Then you must have turned a deaf ear to the cries.

  Look at all the abortions!!! They aren't even given a chance...to escape the suction/knife. Worse, the sick people who rationalize that it isn't murder. "It's MY body I can do what I want!"

  I'll bring it up again, Rwanda, a predominately Catholic country, where people hacked to death small children.

  I'll bring this up again too, the USA dropped bombs on innocent children in Japan 50 years ago.

  You people think in the present. Think of time as an object that can be tapped into at anytime. Time doesn't lesson the lives they affected at the time of their atrocity, it drains all of humanity and subsequent generations.

  But, oh that's right, where here to ignore everything else, BUT what the WTBS does. My mistake.

  UN involvement announced at Assembly?

  i heard from someone that the wts was going to or had already announced something about the un involvement at an assembly.

  anyone else heard of this or is it a local thing ?.

  i would guess they may have only done this because of the coverage in the uk national newspaper which they know they have to counter.

  as of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.

  and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .

  after you look at kent's web site and you people still think this it is a fake letter, phone paul hoeffel yourself at (212) 963-8070.. hawk

  As you say, the info you have is from A! The information in the A! is then doubtful that that is what is really happening in the real world. The WTBS has it's own agenda on what this info means.

  That is, my question is, is the UN really taking those steps angainst the Vatican? Where can this info be verified in "secular" pubs? -newspapers, online, etc?

  But I would like to hypothisize something, if I may

  Without reading the A! I do not now the angle of argument they are trying to make, but I think it is pretictable. But I would venture to guess that it might be...

  If as the A! article is saying:

  [the UN really wants to remove the Vatican and give it an NGO-DPI status,] does that suggest that the Vatican has too much control over the UN and the UN wants to depose that power?

  After all The WTBS has tought for many years that the harlot (false religion, the chief part being Christendom) rides the scarlet colored wild beast (the UN). Thereby controlling the beast and having too much power and influence over it. This action would remove that control and power the Vatican holds over the UN.

  The WTBS has also said for many years that this beast would turn on the harlot and devour it? Would'nt this action be the first step in that direction?
