  Did the Fred Franz style of writing cease after he died?

  i was completely out by 1991 and 1989 would have been the last time i had to attend regularly.

  that over the top franz writing style was still there in the 1980's although i've heard he wasn't actually doing much writing by then.

  but his style was definitely picked up and imitated for many years beyond its wacky, outlandish peak of the the 50's - 70's.

  Hmm. I've never heard any sexual rumors in regards to Franz. I've always viewed him as just a (hurtful to millions) oddball who loved exclamation points, probably on the autistic spectrum.

  Yep. every damn saturday in my neighborhood, they arrive it swarms and start assaulting our hedges and lawns. We are terrified. They carry some type of scissors half as tall as a man. As a neighborhood, we've begun just letting them get it outta their system then paying them to leave quietly.

  Is anyone watching The Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu?

  after finishing season 6, episode 5, it occurred to me that, if the jws were right, (they’re not), the “new system” would end up being very much like this.

  picture the commanders as the elders.. it’s a riveting series.

  i wanted to see it, because i read the book when it first came out.

  usa politicians in charge of the economy for the past 50 years were too stupid to understand how the economy works.

  this just proves my theory, that an education on the top tier universities just sucks and means nothing in the real world, unless its in the stem education.

  for 50 years usa had zero tariffs on other countries.

  Can someone remind me the reason's you could be disfellowshipped?

  the only reasons i can remember are smoking, sexual immorality and of course, apostasy.

  there must be others but having been out since 1990, i'm drawing a blank.

  i was thinking perhaps serious criminal offenses that result in prison, but then i remembered a brother in my congregation in the 1980's who went to prison.

  The only reasons I can remember are smoking, sexual immorality and of course, apostasy. There must be others but having been out since 1990, i'm drawing a blank. I was thinking perhaps serious criminal offenses that result in prison, but then I remembered a brother in my congregation in the 1980's who went to prison. There were rumors that he was abusive, but one evening he severely beat his wife. I mean shattered facial bones, teeth knocked out, broken arm. She was unconscious for days in the hospital. He went to prison for something like a decade if I remember correctly.
  
  He was not disfellowshipped.
  
  I remember when it was announced that someone was disfellowshipped, my first thought was always "I wonder who they were getting it on with?"
  
  
  I believe there was probably a surge of DF's in the 70's targeting smokers who couldn't kick the habit, but by the late 80's I don't think that was a big issue. They'd all been weeded out.
