  800-why-1914 helpline, Marilyn Zweifel

  for many years, since the mid 80s, marilyn zweifel manned the help-line.

  several months ago, the help-line stopped due to marilyn's serious health issues.

  marilyn was hospitalized a few weeks ago.. she has serious health issues and has suffered from 2 serious falls... she is now in a nursing home.

  Curious if Zweifel was her actual surname or was it assumed for the work she did (?)

  the only reasons i can remember are smoking, sexual immorality and of course, apostasy.

  there must be others but having been out since 1990, i'm drawing a blank.

  i was thinking perhaps serious criminal offenses that result in prison, but then i remembered a brother in my congregation in the 1980's who went to prison.

  Joining the military would result in "Disassociation" which is technically different than "Disfellowhipping" although the end result is pretty much the same

  the july 2025 watchtower has a paragraph that claims that it was the superior power and wisdom of jehovah that guided the gb into allowing jws to grow beards.. the study article is ‘can you still learn from basic bible teachings?’ under the subheading ‘jehovah is the creator’ paragraph 7 states-.

  this just proves my theory, that an education on the top tier universities just sucks and means nothing in the real world, unless its in the stem education.

  for 50 years usa had zero tariffs on other countries.

  Okay...My observation, as an engineer here in the land of Orbital ATK, Dillon Aero, Raytheon, etc., is that automation has not eliminated the "good" jobs.

  The days of standing at a machine all day are gone, but human beings are involved in every step of any manufacturing process and are still very much the brains of the operation.

  Heard and McDonald Islands are external territories of Australia since 1947 and would be treated as Australia proper for purposes of tariffs.

  --Assuming anything could actually be manufactured, mined or grown there which is extremely unlikely..

  These islands are very tiny, very inhospitable, they both have active volcanoes, the waters around them are treacherous and they are both restricted. You can't set foot on either one without permission from the Australian government and they're only giving permission to scientific expeditions once in a while.

  The inclusion of these islands as countries subject to tariffs reeks of AI and its inability to exercise subjective judgement.

  To be fair, most literal translations render the Greek definite article (ὁ) as the English definite article (the) here:

  ...ὁ πιστὸς δοῦλος καὶ φρόνιμος...

  and here:

  ...ὁ πιστὸς οἰκονόμος καὶ φρόνιμος...

  --Not saying the AV, Rheims and a couple of others are wrong in rendering it as either 'a' (Matthew) or 'that' (Luke) but they are the ones taking a bit of liberty here.
