The WT and UN 'relationship'....

i have read many posts wherein friends and family have a difficult time believing this relationship was true, or give very unreasonable excuses (received from elders, etc.
recently, a dear friend told me of a long discussion with her fleshly sister, who told her that it was a lie and even if she (my dear friend) produced a letter on wt letterhead, it was only because someone had stolen the paper and forged the wt signature.

All religious organizations are false! Religion is a snare and a racket! What part about fleeing from it ALL do the JWs not understand? When are they going to realize that "true Christians" are not an organizational entity?
We must be certain that our refuge continues to be Jehovah and his mountainlike organization. (2 Samuel 22:2, 3; Psalm 18:2; Daniel 2:35, 44)
Show me where in those verses quoted where it mentions "mountainlike ORGANIZATION"? Or is it God himself that is a true refuge? Sure, they quote scriptures but they misconstrue what they say!The disgusting thing standing in a holy place, where it ought not? Speak for yourselves, Brooklyn! A Pharisaical religious organization is trying to be the "crag" and "cave" to impede our direct relationship with Jesus!
Like the proverb says, let the READER use DISCERNMENT, that is, not let the WTS print their version of 'discernment' for you, and the reader just swallows it up.

I noticed that when Bill said that tweedldee and dum were "little men". I thought that was self-aggrandizing. I mean, the Christian way would be to humble onself to be the "little man" even when you don't understand or agree with another's position.
I think, though, after reading this LOOOOONG thread, that everybody's views and goals here are NOT THAT FAR apart, despite the rhetoric.

by sleepy insleepy is part of the evil slave class, so says one of my "best friends".. i used to work cleaning widows with this friend, then about 3 years ago he went to bethal in london.didn't see him much since then, but last year at the assembly i spoke to him and he had heard off another friend that i was having doubts.. anyway he says "if the faithful slave told me to wear a pink shirt and a green ties with spots i'd do it" as if this was going to turn me back to the fold.. today my wife bumped into him in town, (he was back home visiting his family) first thing he says is "is ***** going to the meetings" my wife says "no he dosen't believe it anymore" "he's part of the evil slave class " he says along with a load of stuff about "true org, love among selves" and all that maloney.. he thinks i am in an org run by ray franz appanrently.. my wife is unable to answer his accusations as she doesn't know what to think at the moment.. its nice to know my friends are making an effort to help me and not judgeing me without even talking to me.

Can a body shop steal your car
by bboyneko incan a body shop refuse to return your vehicle for an unpaid bill, especially if the signed repair order does not authorize any billing without an estimate?.
does this constitute stealing?
how can they possibly refuse to return property that belongs to you?

Well, they are probably trying to enforce a mechanic's lien, but they must give you an estimate that you authorize before any repairs begin.
On an invoice I have, it states:
"Until payment in full of the total charge specified herein and any additional charge which I may authorize in writing or otherwise, you are authorized to retain or repossess the said vehicle and hold it as security for such payment."
