No claim of guilt! No two witnesses! That is good enough for the JWs.
He should be considered an member in good standing. I would not be surprised if he turns in time for witnessing in prison.

Don't know for sure, but do know that he writes and recevies letters to active JWs. That would seem to indicate that he has not been DF. Guess they can't do it without TWO witnesses.

The elder who was there until 3am was not on official JW call as there was only one elder, but instead was there as a friend.
He was called to testify in court, attempted to use his status as minister to get out of it, but the judge force him to testify since it was not an *official* JW visit. So the congregation left this elder high and dry.
When he finally did testify, he was very evasive in his answering of questions to the point that the judge called him a 'hostile witness'.

It was a rage killing after an all night elder visit to talk about marital issues. He was probably planning on doing it sometime in the future, however after being confronted by his wife in front of another elder, up all night and probably got into a fight once the elder left, he most likely lost it and snapped.
There may not have been any physical evidence, however the circumstantial evidence was to massive for him to over come.
Kelle (not Kelly) was a blue blood witness. Mother & Father in the missionary work when younger. Father gave talks at conventions, dramas, headed up quick build committee, etc. Uncle who was a CO.
I think his family is in denial.

They should just put a program in the Watchtower CD library that scans your computer for porn and sends a report back to Brooklyn for the GB to review.

When I first learned of this years ago, I went to our congregation library to read it for myself in the 1934 yearbook.
well drink some cheap wine and call yourself anointed, guess what the only missing yearbook was in the entire library.

the directv guy came by today to install our new dvr.
a pretty simple install as i already installed the telephone line, and the amp/switch box is about 5 feet below where the extra line needs to run.. .
so all the installer needs to do is give us the new dvr receiver, run one coax line, plug it all in and leave.. .
Should have went with Dish Network. They hire profesional installers, not Jdubs getting the pioneer time while on the job.
Never had a bad experience and you can understand the people on phone support because they live in the USA.
the watchtower endlessly prates on about pagan traditions in popular holidays - while the bible itself is loaded with subtle pagan religious ideas - such as wicked spirits being cast "into tartarus" (a pagan greek place in which the rebels against zeus got imprisoned) or "sacred secret" - a term the apostle paul likes that was adopted from pagan 'mystery' religions.. then we can throw in the reference to being divinely 'called christians' in acts - which uses a pagan term that refers to demonic oracles of the day.. of course, the watchtower has no objection to accumulating millions of pieces of paper that feature occult symbols (any dollar bill!).
in recent years, for good measure, they have added birthdays and thanksgiving to the official banned list, despite the sketchiest justification for doing so.
if birthdays are wrong simply because they figure in two negative accounts, then it makes much more sense to ban dogs as pets because of all the negativity in the bible about them!.
Before my parents converted to JW, we had many cousins, aunts, uncles within less than a one day drive. I have fond memories of spending time with them most often over the holidays. Then we converted to JW when I was about 10 years old, and we were cut off from all of our family.
My parents told us children it was them who did not want anything to do with us because of our religion, so that is what we grew up thinking. Today, I know better. Now I have spent most of my life totally alianated from my cousins who I have such fond memories of as a child.
I should probably try and reach out to them now, but it has been so long, it could never be like it was before. What a loss to loose all of my extended family because of this stupid rule!
regarding what some have said here about the wt being a false prophet.. i would like to make my point regarding the wt not being a false prophet... so please, if you can be patient enough to read this, at least try to understand what i am getting at.. a false prophet is one who, according to deuteronomy, makes a false prediction of the future and claims that the prediction came from god, or in other words claiming that 'god has said he will do a certain thing at a certain time' etc.. for example, hypothetically speaking, if someone had claimed: "god will bring about the end of the world in 2010", they would have been proven to be a false prophet, obviously.
but, as an example, imagine a man who claimed the position of a prophet of god, (as moses did, because although he was not the type of prophet that predicted the future.. he was still a prophet or spokesman for god) and that he had publicised worldwide, according to his interpretation of a (for example) prophecy found in the book of isaiah, that the world would end in 2010.. and he had also stated that he was not saying that god will end the world in that year.. but only that there was biblical evidence that god might do so.
that would clearly have been a mistake.

Then why would they take such a hard line on anyone who may not agree with their interpretation of prophecy if they admit in advance that they may be wrong?
If you don't agree 100% with their 'interpretation of prophecy' then one is labeled an 'apostate' and cut off from family and friends. Why? Seems a bit harsh for a group who freely admit they could be wrong about things.
1st evidence: the release of loyal jews from exile, made possible by the fall of babylon, foreshadowed the release in 1919 of anointed christians from spiritual exile.
2nd evidence: that year marked the beginning of the period when the anointed remnants were released from a form of spiritual captivity to the ideas and practices of false religion.
although having rejected such false teachings as the trinity and the immortal soul, they were still tainted by babylonish practices.

Keep up the good work, you are showing just how crazy JW doctrine is. If you call what you have served up 'Evidence', I can understand why JW's should never participate in a jury trial.
