Memorial - Why do i keep going?
by maisha inevery year i attend, missing only 5 in 50 years.. i do not attend meetings nor active in anyway, my family shun me,(all devote believers) but i do feel drawn to attend each year.
i am out for sure, but i no longer have faith, or a belief in any religous body as being approved by god.. i am so screwed up now i not sure if i believe in a creator!, let alone who or what that may be.. i was born into the truth, married into the truth and my ex is devote.. i could never return to the cult now seeing it for what it is.. i served, donated, slaved for years happy to do so as has all my family.. i went out of my way to get df, sort of a wanting to die act, of rejecting the society.. i used to sit in a movie in my youth and think, wow i am so lucky, all these people are going to die and i will live forever.. even just typing this gives release to my emotions,, lol,,, yea i have many emotions,,, many regrets, basically the organisation i followed and the instructions destroyed my life in every possible way.. the power plays that i witnessed within are what first woke me up,,,at first i let it go, forgiving those involved as brothers do.
but again and again power and position is and was the thing to have, you got the power you got everything.

The memorial was the last meeting I ever attended. I don't get invites anymore. What is the date for it this year?

What is your Jesus like?
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/belief/2012/mar/04/jesus-liberals-conservatives
"Love thy neighbour, so long as he is not an illegal immigrant. Blessed are the poor, so long as they are deserving. And, though it may be harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven than to pass through the eye of a needle, multimillionaires should have no problem passing through the door of the Oval Office.
Religion and politics have always made uneasy bedfellows; yet how can Christians from all shades of the political spectrum reconcile their diverse views with the teachings of a single man?
A study led by Lee Ross of Stanford University in California has found that the Jesus of liberal Christians is very different from the one envisaged by conservatives. The researchers asked respondents to imagine what Jesus would have thought about contemporary issues such as taxation, immigration, same-sex marriage and abortion. Perhaps not surprisingly, Christian Republicans imagined a Jesus who tended to be against wealth redistribution, illegal immigrants, abortion and same-sex marriage; whereas the Jesus of Democrat-voting Christians would have had far more liberal opinions. The Bible may claim that God created man in his own image, but the study suggests man creates God in his own image."

The truth is J.F. Rutherford was never an elected judge. He was a lawyer who filled in for a judge who went on vacation for a week. This is how it was done in the 1890's. He took on the title of judge to make himself seem more of an authoirty figure.

The only thing he is missing with the red shirt is his pocket protector. He has at least 3 pens so he qualifies for one.

The gal I'm dating frequents match.com - advice?
by UnConfused ini am dating a gal that i met on match.com - we saw each other first last summer, but she didn't think we were a 'match'.
after the "pressure" was off we started hanging out quite a bit with all the benefits that go along with it.
this went on for months.. i became smitten with her, but we weren't a couple, which she pointed out a couple of times.

I don't think I know where to find misogynist rap anyway.
Miz - Who would you recommend for the misogynist rap genre?

I would ask her in a non-confrontational way. Like you are okay if she is not happy and wants to look, but if that is the case, you should be able to do the same. Her response will tell you what is in her heart and you won't look weak taking this possition.
If you don't get the answer you hoped for, then consider NRG recommendation to listen to misogynist rap while you re-sign up on match.
Also, it sounds like she does like spending time with you, so nothing wrong with friends with benefits until either of you find the right match as long as you can get your head around that is all it is. You can have fun and be free. If that is the case then you should agree that once either of you find another serious match then you end being f*ck buddies.

I had a similar experience. When I noticed, I just told my gal, that if she wanted to continue to look, I was okay with that, but then I should also have the same right and I would want to re-join and look also. In my chase she decided I was the one and we have been married 10 years.
This heart to heart will give her the nudge to either move on or commit and get off the site if she expects the same from you. If she does not have a problem with you re-joining so you can be of the same status as her, then there is your sign.
Good luck!

@D-LL - Nobady beats god, Yes, then you will be guaranteed a resurrection where you can get judged a second time and then god will still get to kill you in the end. BWWHAHAHAHAHA!
However by WT logic, if you want to save your entire family, get an AK47 and take them all out so they can get resurrected. Otherwise if they die at armegeddon, they would have no hope at all.
