  so as the title suggests i wrote a book why is lloyd to thank?

  first let's rewind a little.

  when i was a teenager i was a pretty gifted writer and was put in academic and ap classes for english/lit classes.

  Others claim to believe the Bible but reject Jehovah’s organization.

  God, how I hope they eventually get legally crucified for treating those who remove themselves from their cult jw organisation with such hatred and disdain.

  I tried marking a congregation member who matched all the criteria in this article.

  The elders made my life absolute hell.

  I kept all spiritual contact, but no social interaction due to my inlaws non christian activities and life style.

  Guess what, he was made an elder.

  When everything REALLY hit the fan and it was revealed PUBLICLY what he was involved with, I got no apology and was still treated like dirt by the elders that appointed him - god how I hate this sham religious cult!!

  So like watchtower to act high and mighty and all knowing and spiritually prescient in these articles, when in actual fact they have been FORCED TO CHANGE due to being legally up against the wall with their shunning practices!!

  I've noticed this "Where did you hear that?" question too from my own mother when I tell her some incontrovertible truth that proves conclusively the wt teachings are a pile of crap.

  It's as if they are desperate to rubbish the source of the information so they can then go back to their superior, brain washed state...

  I don’t even feel sorry for them and feel that in 2024 if anybody is ignorant about the Jehovah’s Witness religion, it is by choice.

  Kingdom hall cleaning

  what are your memories of hall cleaning?.

  i actually enjoyed it on the whole, my dad as the elder always tried to keep it to under one hour but in my later years in a hard-line congregation it was a chore.

  the po's wife had a printed list and we had to complete it all before left (or got disapproving looks if we left after an hour).. as well as vacuuming the whole building the lost said you had to dismantle the vacuum and clean and polish all the internal elements.

  My little brother gave the game away and my elder dad laid into me.

  I said 'elder Joe cleaned the hall last week whilst playing his Mantovani records.' Dad said 'That's different..'

  I remember being entrusted by my elder Dad along with my younger brother to go and clean the hall by ourselves.

  He was puzzled why we were so keen. It was about 1982 and our KH had a brilliant sound system.

  We blasted out The Jam, The Beatles, Pink Floyd at top volume as we cleaned the hall - happy days!
