with the statement in the study watchtower this sunday, that stop serving jehovah is a serious sin, the following:.
- can i conclude now, that we, (i, wife and 2 children), since 2008 pomo and no longer active in any religious activity, are serious sinners for jehovahs witnesses?.
writing this in a watchtower, a statement like that, could have big implications.. it makes me so sad.
Just to be clear about my own personal stance about being labelled a serious sinner - quite similar to Jeff Windup merchant's:

Me: I am not embarrassed about using 'independent thinking' to make needed adjustments in my thinking. Nor is an apology needed to wt for using 'independent thinking' to get right previous errors in my thinking.

i am dismayed how jwn is being "dominated" or taken over by a few posters, peppering the comments.
in the past, the admin did not approve of this and did remove some posters from jwn.
I started 'lurking' here back in 2007 - That was the year I got in touch with Ray Franz and gradually realised my lifelong JW religion was NOT the 'truth'.
I am most grateful for this site and the wealth of information it provides.
I do personally find overly long 'preachy' posts a struggle.
Some posts make me feel I am being scripturally 'machine gunned' or 'pebble dashed' by others (possibly well meaning beliefs).
But, there are many, many posters and posts I do enjoy here - and for them I am truly thankful.

Reminds me of an elder who had Bill Withers greatest hits playing in the KH at his wife's funeral.
He then went around everyone in attendance with his video recorder saying he wanted to get a comment from everybody there to show his wife when she was resurrected....
... is just three weeks from this saturday.
the org has been tight-lipped, really, successfully secret about advance info on these in recent years,.
now that these relatively recent changes on dress and grooming, reporting fs time, judicial matters, etc.

I'm sure I heard that a high up in watchtower land described the gb as 'a concept' to some authority not too long ago - just can't recall the exact details, can you?
If that was true, what the hell does that make their 144,000 'teaching'...🤷♂️
is it just me or has there been a massive change in jws of late?.
when i grew up in the cult they had a real sense of urgency and would do an hour minimum, these days it’s not even ten mins before coffee break.. same goes for everything else, it’s half hearted .
My wife and I discussed how we haven't seen any of the jw carts in any of the normal places for ages now - is that a local thing we wonder??

i'm pretty sure it came out late in the book's life, but i'd like someone to verify which one it is..
I remember being in Spain the the 1980's and somebody had (I think) an english My Book Of Bible Stories. (or was it the red You Can Live Forever In Paradise book?)
Anyway, the Spanish witnesses were amazed, they had never seen the book before. Not sure when those books were published in Spain??
