  family move to remote pacific island to serve were the need is great get a mention in the year book.. however one of the (married) boys in the large family has sex with his sister while his wife is in hospital giving birth to their child.

  all hushed up not even a word said and hes now an elder d.fing people for lesser crimes.. young couple dating leave the jws and move in togather doing drugs partying ect.. his family grandfather,uncles, dad ect are all elders.. after a few years they decide to come back to the jws and are married in the k.h a few months latter.. 1 elder questions them getting married in the k.h and is voted down by his family.. to many drunks and c.s.a to mention.. karter..

  Gosh, we had loads.

  Our well thought of watchtower conductor suddenly disappeared from the hall.

  I asked a well informed friend where he was. He said rather snottily, "We are wise not to speculate."

  I said "Speculate!" "We are supposed to love and be concerned about our brothers. Is he ill, has he emigrated, has he been kidnapped?"

  But he stubbornly wouldn't budge.

  I found out soon enough it was a cover up.

  He was shepherding and shagging a fellow elder's wife.

  The P/O Elder who dominated the elder body had sent him off to another hall without any discipline, and a glowing recommendation.

  As you can imagine, the spoilt non disciplined former wt conductor soon started shagging the elders wife again and was very grudgingly disfellowshipped by his buddy P/O elder.

  I went back to my friend and said, "I know you hate speculation, but I must inform you that our former wt conductor who is missing from our hall just has been disfellowshipped for shagging elder Brian's wife."

  He just glared at me and looked mutinous.

  That P/O elder handled fornication by three or four other elders in his congregation exactly same way - even threatening witnesses who came forward to report the wrongdoing they saw.

  He was eventually removed from his role and he moved out of the country in a great sulk, complaining about how badly the org had treated him.

  He covered over three or four elders fornicating and gave them no discipline, and yet was extremely petty and hardline, withholding privileges from many brothers who had done nothing wrong, except not be as educated or as well spoken as he thought they should be.

  a pair of young blokes came to my door @ 10am (ish) today (wednesday, if that matters).

  i opened the door a crack to : hi!

  Saw two older ladies on the ministry today.

  Recognised them first from that slooooow ministry walk..

  Hmmmm..if it's a 'life saving work, why don't they walk quicker between each house???

  Viewpoint questions always.

  When pioneering we were repeatedly told never to open with questions that could get a Yes or No answer.

  I remember back in the 1980's when we were offering the blue Creation book my pioneer partner would open with:

  'We've been talking to people today about the meaning of life...' Subtle eh!

  I wrote and Published a Book About Being a Teen in an ExJW Family (thanks Lloyd Evans)

  so as the title suggests i wrote a book why is lloyd to thank?

  first let's rewind a little.

  when i was a teenager i was a pretty gifted writer and was put in academic and ap classes for english/lit classes.
