What have you forgotten you ever even knew?
by Simon inat a certain point, as the years tick by, you start to realize that you have forgotten a lot of things.
typically, something you learned, some knowledge or skill you used to have, that you just haven't used for so long you no longer remember anything but that you once knew it.. i saw an article about electrical resistors the other day, and how the colored bands signify the rating.
now all i remember is that i used to know it, and that resistors do something with, erm, electricity ...

What should we get him for his birthday?
Send him 3,000 euro in Monopoly money. It's the proper way to settle the litigation.
As for the background in his bunker, I think he wanted to show that he had a large collection of WT books and material, but also wanted to make it fancier than just a bookcase lined with books. What he ended up with looks like a shrine. Any of the GB would be happy to shoot a video with that as a backdrop.
But I would advise them to wipe the seat thoroughly with a damp rag before they sit down.

That ad would be perfect if the censoring stripe was across his neckbeard.

Also: Since he was "forced" to put the info about his infidelity into the book, he might as well go about and do it.
Apparently, he felt it was a sensible explanation when she asked him why he cheated. It's insane.
He's clearly a man of deep integrity!
He is so committed to honesty that: if he says he cheated with prostitutes, he must then do so. Otherwise he'd be a liar, and that's just unacceptable!
He values consistency so highly that: having paid for sex once, he decided to do so every couple of months for three or four years!
He values his honor and reputation so highly that: he files criminal charges and sends legal letters in a manner that can be charitably described as unserious.
He values his wife and family so highly that: oh, wait... he doesn't value them at all.

Here's the problematic part for him:
CRIMINAL OFFENSES AGAINST HONOR AND REPUTATION
And I only partly mean it in jest. If you've already admitted to repeatedly cheating on your spouse with whores (sorry, 20+ year-old untrafficked sex workers and girlfriends) and the web is replete with examples of your dodgy behavior and bad manners, it's difficult to come up with something bad enough to constitute a mark against your honor and reputation.
God, imagine being the lawyer researching his case, and realizing that the only reasons you will file it is because (A)none of the defendants will show up, (B)your client won't be cross-examined, and (C)he's paying you to go through with it.* I'm thinking the odds are pretty good that this will feed the office gossip mill for years to come.
*At least I'm assuming he's paying. You never know...

I'm betting that he had a hand in describing it.
"Yes, I'm a graduate of the illustrious JW training school. Very exclusive, quite an honor indeed. Few of us even made it out alive..."

I'm curious about that myself, and how it would affect the civil suit. When you consider that he refers to "girls" in both his book and video, how damaging is it to mention an accusation of grooming/abusing a 14-year-old? I think he could make a case that such an accusation is damaging, but it would not be easy to determine liability. Again, this depends on how Crotian law/courts deal with such matters, but in the US you can win a defamation case but have the damages reduced if you are considered to be at least partly liable.
That also raises another question- is the civil suit just for show? There is no reason for any of the plaintiffs to make the trip out there to defend themselves. Otherwise, the case could have been extremely embarrassing (and even more damaging to his reputation). Imagine calling him to the stand for a cross-examination? Imagine calling family members, or others who know him and have worked for him, to testify? He almost certainly will not have to go through that, so he can continue to brag and bluster on Twitter without the fear that he'd be exposed.

It's possible that his lawyer has asked him to keep the details quiet, as it is generally a bad idea to reveal too much about legal action while it is pending or ongoing. You can damage your case by talking to the public about it while it is still going on.
I agree with you, that Evans seems like a difficult client to manage when it comes to keeping information confidential until it's safe to reveal. But in this instance, he seems to be showing a bit more restraint than usual. Good luck keeping him from screwing that up, though.
