But Cedars? Just imagine if he were truly being controlled by WT.
It would explain why Anthony Morris buys so much liquor, lol.

Is that really him? It's gotten to where the parody would be indistinguishable from the real thing.

"What is the sign of the last days," his supporters implored, "and how will we know the time has come?"
"There will be many signs," he replied. "Litigation, and threats of litigation. In one court after another, filings and more litigation. But this is not the end of litigation, it is only the beginning..."
hearings are on the schedule for abc, bbc, cbs, cnn, msnbc and nbc.
not on fox "news".. will you be watching?
or maybe .
There isn't much that will come of it. The people who rioted were arrested and charged and have been or are being dealt with. If they had anything of any substance against Trump or other politicians, they'd have acted on it by now. The only thing left is to put on a show and see if bread and circuses can make voters forget how bad things have been over the past year.
As for an insurrection or coup-- if that's what the capitol rioters were attempting, it was possibly the poorest effort ever made, and had no chance of succeeding since our government doesn't work that way. The notion that you could put a gun to the VP's head and have him determine an election by request is laughable, and few of the rioters were armed or even seemed to know what they wanted to do, aside from make some noise and run around with no sense of purpose.
If November does turn out to be a red wave, this kind of clueless theatre of the absurd is one of the reasons.

Almost like he's doing this to scare people away from criticising him.
That's all it is. He chafes at any criticism (real or perceived), so one of his tactics is to call his detractors cowards if they don't let him doxx them (or does anyone really think he is going to add every random internet person to "THE LITIGATION"? lol). This is one of the things that makes me wonder if he even has a lawyer, much less a "legal team." Any lawyer worth his salt would have sat him down by now and made clear that if he didn't shut up, he would be representing himself.
Unless he ended up with a lawyer who figured him for an easy mark, and will spend as little time as possible working on the case while finding ways to charge him for "research" or whatever other line items he can dream up.

After all the stuff that we know (and all the stuff that we can only imagine), I did not get the impression that there was anything worth saving. His wife and daughters need stability and a warm home environment with less anxiety and stress. He does not seem like the type to change his behavior for their sake. He strikes me as someone who is on a long spiral downward, and it's better for his family if he does not drag them down with him.
So I think it's probably for the best if he moves far from them and goes on about his self-destructive business. Maybe he will hit rock bottom before it is too late and turn his life around. Maybe not. Better for his family to be free of him until he decides one way or the other.
anything you remember that went in org that you feel embarrassed now?
i remember back in the 80s how seems like every magazine was about bashing other group's.
how holy and faithful watchtower was compared to catholic church.
I guess there are many things that make me feel embarrassed for the organization and its leadership, not so much the followers. I can remember a few of the things that made me stop and think; even though I pushed those things aside at the time, they ended up having an effect in the long run.
I think the one that stuck with me the most was the admission that obedience was more important than being correct, using the example of a couple that had informed the GB of a different interpretation of some teaching. They were told that the WTS would keep the present teaching, and they discussed their view with others in the congregation, which led to them being disfellowshipped. Later, the WTS adopted the very interpretation that the couple had promoted, but the couple were not reinstated. Why? Because they had disobeyed. The article basically admitted that being right did not make a difference!
I'm sure I echoed the company line at the time, but it is difficult to try to live with honesty and dignity while accepting something like that. I wonder how many other JWs go through that, where they try to stay in line with the organization but find it harder and harder to do so, because something they do is too wrong to rationalize and ignore forever.
recently, in the past few months, and this only applies to in dubs who might have taken note, the watchtower study edition made a change.
it mentioned the “warning work” where dubs are going to march around and proclaim everyone is going to die.. anyway, this article said it was now only a possibility, not a sure thing.. i can’t find it.
did watchtology change it already?.
"But just in case, none of the GB will be undertaking this dangerous work. However, if any of you get the living snot beat out of you, make sure to give us all the details for the 'experiences' portion of the next convention!"
more than 60 percent of our full-time translation teams work, not at branch offices, but at remote translation offices (rto).
why is this arrangement beneficial?
what equipment do translators need in order to work effectively at an rto?
I wonder if any translation work every actually happened there?
They probably have a computer set up for remote access, and some poor translator connects to it from his apartment in some seedy part of town, and does the translating work all day and gets paid with the occasional pat-on-the-back.
Not that I'm cynical or anything...

Maybe not if money is tight? (or just that you're a cheap freeloader)
Money might be tight, if you are paying for an apartment and still need to provide for the family that you have agreed to separate from. You might also need some extra cash in case you run into any eligible singles who might agree to go out for lunch and a couple of drinks. Or if you can't suppress the urge to rent a girlfriend for a week or two.
All this while your financial support base keeps shrinking, for reasons that you just can't seem to grasp. Don't they understand what the life of a professional activist is like???
