I usually get the updates from this awesome site, but there has been an announcement pretty recent regarding changes to the meetings during the CO visit.
Anyone got the insigh on this?

and that jehovah's witnesses are proud to use that name?.
WHAT GOD’S NAME MEANS
14 To enhance our appreciation for the honor of bearing God’s name, it is good for us to meditate on its meaning . Commonly translated “ Jehovah ,” the divine name comes from a Hebrew verb that can describe action and can be translated “to become.” Thus, the name Jehovah is understood to mean “He Causes to Become.”
and that jehovah's witnesses are proud to use that name?.
On a recent Watchtower study they said: "It is believed the name of god is translated: Jehovah". That way they can't be held accountable for missusing it or translating it wrong.
i usually like to watch netflix on my lunch hour.
i had nothing interesting to watch in the last few days so i decided to give this show a try.
it's interesting but there are a few things missing from the bible and there area additional scenes and dialogue.

Have you watched it? What do you think?
To me, it's just another form of entertainment but at the same time it's nice to look at a different point of view. Some stuff is kind of an eye opener, like how Abraham was supposed to kill his own son and how all the first born kids of the Egyptians had to be killed to prove a point.
Anyways, I'd be interested to read your point of view.
Thanks!
we've heard from friends in two separate congregations in our city that convention security will be tight.. the brothers made announcements this week and reminded everyone to be sure to wear their name badges.
those that don't may be questioned and have their belongings searched.
the same will be happen to anyone arriving during the sessions.
The direction given to the attendants for the next International convention in the SW part of the US was: If someone causes problems or needs to be escorted out, security personnel will be called. Not JW security, the venue's security-off duty police officers or the venue's security personnel.
Attendants are not to touch any individuals causing a problem but in the case they get physical, gloves are off. The attendant can defend himself and/or his family.
No other guidance or information was given about security searches other than the expected searches done by the venue's entrance personnel.
will it be easier or harder to be made an elder without all the nepotism and favortism under the new 'co appointing elder arrangment'?
what are your thoughts?
how do you think this arrangement is going to work?
I will never be appointed MS... my average hours are like 4/month and that's adding an hour that I spend getting ready to go to service per month
are you on the earth so see how much you can give or how much you can get ?.
how so ?.
Not really sure yet...
you are older?
you have no pc or tablet?
you can't handle computers?.
Most of the time there is no paper in the hall's printer. More expenses means less money for the big wigs! ...Sounds so much like a corporation doesn't it?

In most stadiums they will have their own security and police enforcement. The JW can't do anything about it, it's a city ordinance or the venue's policy, since the International conventions will be held in major NFL stadiums, you can expect some of this security searches just like you would be searched when you attend major sporting events.
The attendants will not be doing the searching, their training (there's a video showing them what to do and so on) does not include any security searches and stuff.
hello, some of you old friends and not so much.
i'm wondering why my 13 year-old account from beliefnet is in your database.. interesting.... so that's how you get your numbers for "members".
from other forums.. lol.
Every time I post something I feel like Simon is taking a little bit of me......
