"Into the Mystic" by Van Morrison would start out the funeral and when everyone started to get a little choked up then I'd have the music quickly switched over to "We Are The Champions" by Queen and then have a round of drinks served to everyone

VanMorrison's mom was a JW and dragged him to meetings as a little boy. Its one of the reasons he always considered himself to be an outsider and not fit in with the rest of the world .I really connect with his music and Mystic is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Van even wrote a song titled "Kingdom Hall."

the week from hell...I need input please!

i just found out my best friend died this morning.

i'm not looking for sympathy, i just need some input.

we were very close and worked together volunteering for the aids foundation here in my hometown.

You can do what's in your heart or you can do what you agreed to do. Do you think your friend would honor your death or would he honor your wishes? I see no wrong with choosing either one? Both decisions will honor him either way you look at it. Your friends memory will never die within you until you die. As long as he is in your heart and in your memory he will always be your friend, alive or dead. Death is just the absence of his physical presence, love for a friend lives on forever. After all, isn't it in ones heart that love for a friend really lives, not in his presence or in his absence. I am sorry for your loss Jon and I am honored that you consider me your friend.

i would like to know why you still beleive in god and what, based upon the bible, leads you to believe in god.. i likethe scripture that states the earth was a circle and hung upon nothing.

i also find that there is evidence the flood existed.

anybody know the stats of the "supposed" ark on mr. ararat?.

The difference between science and religion is Science has evidence of things and then tries to build a story around it. Religion has a story and then tries to build evidence around it. You say the Red Sea has sulphur deposits in it so the story of Sodom and Gomorah must be true. That is no big surprise, so does most of the entire worlds surface. Sulpher is one of the most abundant elements found on the whole planet. The Great Salt Lake in Utah is loaded with it. I don't remember reading that god tried to destroy Salt Lake City with showers of sulpher but maybe he just missed it.

Moe, read a little about history and science outside of the watchtower publications and you just might surprise yourself.

You promised me pictures of ducks! All I see here are bikes and butts. Even though they seem to be nice bikes and nice butts I'm still waiting for the damn duck photos. Why are you guys all wearing leather and where is Ladonna? What is all that purple stuff Prisca is washing off those flying saucer sized plates? Why are those two biker babes kissing each other? Are these just pictures of a Hell's Angel picnic going on next to the one you guys had? Where is the pictures of the softball game and the potato sack race? Where in the hell is the potato salad and beer? Is this a picnic or just an advertisement for the leather industry? Why is everyone hiding their faces? What is going on there down under?

Please help me with the forum

keeping a balance in what is allowed and what is not is very difficult and is more difficult if i have to take action against one person when i have let other things go by others.. it would help a lot if we could stop the personal attacks and some of the name calling & insults that are thrown about.

i know personalities do and will clash but please disagree about the subjects being discussed and not get personal!.

if you think someone is deliberately trying to cause arguments please do not respond to them as this is giving in to what they want.

First of all I think you are doing a great job. Second this is not a publicly owned board with equal rights for everyone. If Friday is having a little fit because most people are sick and tired of his hate posts then he can go cry to the KKK. His threat is as valid as his close minded hatred for anything that doesn't fit into his little lunch box of a brain. Personally I would love for the authorities of both countries to examen this site. They would see the hatred by good upstanding JW's like Friday spraying his poison all over the board. Here in Oregon they have a very sensitive ear out for people like him spreading his hatred and vindictiveness. He would have himself very close to being arrested for spreading such garbage. They take hate crimes very serious here and most of those crimes are caused by people that have had the ignorance to listed to such garbage as Friday so proudly throws out on the pages of this forum. He had JoleBear almost cornered, what a joke, he'd probably love to corner a nice gay man and I think that is where his level of frustration becomes very apparent. He uses the same "save your kids" bull that the JW's use when trying to convert some frightened new bible study. If he wants to talk about abuse and children then maybe he should start reading a few thread on this site and stop trying to pick up on all the gay men.

If he thinks that governmental authorities are going to back him up then it's obvious he has been living with his head in a box for the last decade. His hatred for JoleBear is equal to that of the KKK. Friday can take his cross burning homo hating little pea brain on to an Aryan Nation site and get all the love and understanding he so desperately needs. Then he can take his concerns to his local elders and explain to them about how upset he is about being kicked off an apostate board. Ignorance is very hard to try and be fair to and Simon you have been more than fair to Friday. I would have kicked his close minded hate filled butt off mounts ago.

The guy just can't handle a little "Apostate discipline." He should know we only do this because we love him. Being cut off from all his friends on this board and being shunned is the only way we can show him love as he understands it. Now the shoes on the other foot Friday, how does it feel?

Don't worry about any of his BS Simon, he's all blow and no show.

Steph, The duck pictures will be fine. I understand the Ozzie fear of the camera. I heard it is a fear passed down from your forefathers. Unless there is a side and front view with them holding a little sign with numbers on it they just don't feel natural.

Give the duckies a piece of bread for me will ya. I hope you guys have a great time. I'm going to make it down there one of these times for the midwinter apostate party, I promise.

My Aunt Passed Away & I'd like to talk

on tuesday, my mom called me at work to tell me my aunt linda passed away.

she'd had diabetes and kidney problems for years.

tuesday, she was on dialysis and her blood pressure bottomed out and she just went to sleep and never woke up.

Mike, I don't know you but in a way I do. I feel very sorry for your loss. My grandfather who I loved very much died a few weeks ago and because of all the bullshit with the JW's I didn't hear about it until three days after he died. He wasn't even a JW but the message of his death reached me through JW channels so I was the last to hear about it. I have become so numb about my family I didn't even shed a tear. I'm a tough guy and all but after reading your post I fucking hate to admit it but some tears are running down my face as I write this. Your post and the love that you have kept so precious in your heart for your aunt just made me loose it. I feel for you Mike. I feel for every god dammed one of us. Your words and your love and your anger opened me up and I thank you for that.

I'm sure when my Mom dies which is suppose to be fairly soon I will echo the last words that you posted here. I do not hate the JW people I do not hate my family I just hate that god dammed fucking group of assholes who makes up all the rules that steals out families from us. I hope each and every one of those bastards dies a painful and terrible death for what they have done. I know a discussion board hug or even any word that is meant to describe a warm human feeling will not comfort you or take the pain away. All I can do is share some of the pain and a few tears with you. It's amazing that my blood tied family can tell me my grandpa dies and it doesn't even effect me but when someone I don't even know shouts out his pain from the bottom of his heart it fucking brings me to the state of out right crying and tears.

Mike you woke me up with your beautiful words. I can't fucking stand this shit. I feel so bad for you. Sorry for the cussing, I am just so god dammed mad right now. I haven't cried in years, I hate to fucking cry.

Take care Mike and remember you have a lot of people who know exactly how you feel and have the honor in sharing some of your pain.
