  I was being conservative

  I still stand by my assertion that is much, much sicker than the doctors are letting on. And for that reason he's getting not one, not two, but three aggressive and/or experimental therapies that are indicated for the most severe cases.

  I have no idea how long it may take that aggressive combination of therapies to make a difference. I suspect very few, if any, 74 year old obese males with a positive COVID diagnosis have taken that exact same combination of drugs, so we can't know how effective it may or may not be, or how soon to expect to see a change.
  

  Obviously the doctors think it is the best course of treatment. It may well be effective.

  I have a hunch, a prediction, it's not enough to overcome his illness. His comorbidities are too intense. He may well be incapacitated and hospitalized for much longer than a week, but I'm not ready to assert that yet.

  I don't follow - you wrote you thought he would be out of the hospital "soon", now you're saying he will be in the hospital, but strictly for purposes of self-isolation?

  I just want to understand your prediction: "out of the hospital soon", or "isolating in the hospital for a while yet"?

  Let me clarify mine: I predict he will be in the hospital actively receiving treatment, not merely sitting around in isolation, for a minimum of one week.

  What is your prediction?

  My prediction: Trump remains hospitalized for a minimum of one week. At least until October 12. There will be occasional videos produced when he's flying from the "up" due to his steroid treatments, but there will be continuing nonsensical and/or vague answers from the medical team.

  After hospital release: A greatly reduced schedule of public appearances, if any. No more rallies, no debates, virtually nothing where he is seen "live". I predict his COVID will cause long-term debilitating effects which will become increasingly difficult to disguise.

  I see you have no counter to my debunkment (?) of your "it's just a mild case of COVID because he's getting [best practice] drugs as a preventive treatment" argument.

  We can talk about Trump's tax situation if / when he has recovered. It's not going away, it just got (rightfully) elbowed out of the way since the president's health crisis is more urgent.

  Yes, when I feel in good health, I often take a helicopter to the nearest hospital and just, you know, hang out for 4 days (and counting) (so far).

  And take dexamethasone.

  And Remdesivir.

  And Regeneron.

  You know, all those "preventive" drugs that are prescribed by the thousands for mild COVID cases.

  How is his complexion?

  I'd put the odds he ends up in the hospital within a week at better than 75%.

  I expected him to be admitted within 6 days...not 6 hours of when I posted this!

  He is seriously, seriously ill. He's going to be in the hospital for a long time.

  Don't be fooled by the photo-ops of him signing a blank sheet of paper, or even his joyride to wave at the Proud Boys hanging around outside the hospital. One of the immediate but short-term side-effects of the heavy corticosteroids he's taking is a burst of energy, even euphoria. He'll have crashed by Sunday night. That pattern may repeat this week - videos and messages of "hey I'm feeling great" during the day, frightening crashes in the evening.

  He may recover - it's far from settled, but he is of course going to get the best medical care humanly possible. The question is, can even the world's best doctors compensate for his serious comorbidities such as age, obesity, high blood pressure, etc.? By the end of the week I expect we will have at least a somewhat clearer picture.

  Dude's been given dexamethasone.

  That is given to only the sickest patients. In fact it is potentially harmful in non-severe cases.

  By the way, a side effect is a feeling of hyperactivity and euphoria, which explains the pointless joyride yesterday.

  Not to mention the Remdesivir & Regeneron,

  Would the medical team of the POTUS give him such a potent cocktail of drugs not indicated for a mild case, just for the hell of it?

  Dude is seriously ill, and photo-ops of him signing blank pieces of paper and scowling at an inactive speakerphone don't change that.

  He's not being discharged Monday, nor Tuesday, nor anytime soon. He will get worse before / if he gets better.

  The dude is well north of 300 pounds.

  The term you are looking for is "morbidly obese".

  Age 70+, morbidly obese, COVID positive - I'd put the odds he ends up in the hospital within a week at better than 75%.
