Vdh, well to the one who imposed the death sentence in the first place, and who put the object of temptation in place too,
the ransom was deposited, payed , delivered ~ 45 days after the dying act of coining it on the cross/stake, an murderous act orchestrated by a "fallen" son of god too, so,
it is all in the family Archie would say, affecting mostly the state of mind, even now.
has it occurred to you, that death is the most essential tool for the advancement of life, of the universe even? A personal enemy perhaps, for the common good.?

The idea of the ransom comes from the concept that there was something going wrong with creation 6000 years ago. It really was a good production for 13 billion years, resulting in the universe, life and all the perfectly functioning species.
then a talking snake precipitated the idea, that the normal life and death cycle of all creation (including stars) , to be an abnormality for humans.
The ransom does not have to work if it is a contrived story in the first place. no quasi-cannibalism required.
good glass of wine under the full spring moon though.
mankind,s progress/regress continues unabated since the golgotha event, the "second" coming in 1914 even.

Great answers. ha ha. In its barest form, wt doctrine on the ransom is, that jesus had the right to eternal earthly life. he gave that up in favour of humans, and the better hope of himself returning to a, better, immortal spirit life.
The wt 144 000 do likewise, wrongly imagining to be the only ones in the new covenant for forgiveness of sins, , they too, are willing to sacrifice that right for the higher calling. now,
if only there really had been talking snakes, asses. did the story work?

light is named such for a reason, it is very light. one square km of sunlight weights as much as one litre of water spread over that huge area,( or 2 quarts of water covering a square mile) and sunlight is very bright, it will blind you within minutes. Unlike
the light from redundant wt doctrines, which carried no weight at all, it is darkness, it is in effect repellant.
It is just a question of time before some current wt emissions will prove to be darkness drivel too. wt is repelling but never repenting. ( well, they said they regretted to have published the number 1975).
