jws are definitely neutral when it comes to one of the dividing feature of the conflict, namely that both warring side belong to a different branch of the orthodox church.
no zeal more expressed then between religious cousins, see the 30 year war, Iraq /Iran, The ire of the irelands. neutrality in the jw case means to be against all branches of BTG. armed and at times out of control branches.

Litf. right. there are right wing warriors in all countries. Putin is very right wing himself. Ukraine is nazi? led by a jewish man whose family survived the holocaust? , An atrocity, that admittedly had many Ukrainian collaborators. Demaniuk et al. Einsatztruppen helpers.

sbf. sorry, me wrong. I thought the deal was that the ukraine would give up it nuclear strike force in return for international guarantees of their then borders, including crimea, with Russian speaking minorities guarantees full civil freedoms, or safe passage back to their home country.
Invaders will have the neighbours unite to repel, see "neutral" finland & sweden seeing the light?
neutral switzerland is a well armed country, no threat to italy, france, germany, austria or lichtenstein. ditto ukraine.

I think this is incredibly cynical: having goaded Ukraine into war with Russia,
sbf, I think if Russia invaded your country, it would be goaded into war too. really? remember September, 1939 Russia invaded Poland, at the start of WW2. That conquered land has still not been returned. (England should have declared war on all the invaders at the time, and we would not be in that threat to the planet today)
During WWII here in England the women did not run overseas, they stayed and helped the country.
SGoE: yeah, but the good ladies of England were not threatened with the kinds of atrocities that happened in eastern Europe and are still happening. (compare the 1940 fall France, Paris and 1945 Berlin.Dresden)
Hitler too had given orders to summarily execute any woman POW soldiers of the Soviet forces. so I highly recommend any females to flee from eastern combat zones. that is why my twin Gorbachev, who lived through it, wanted peace at any price.

hopefully the Ukrainian government lives up to it's freedom loving claims and allows the Jws to exercise their choice of non involvement. In the areas now occupied by the invaders, russian law is probably applied, and the JW organisation is banned.
80 years ago that embattled region saw bible students, executed even for refusing to dig defensive anti tank trenches.
Now we see pictures of whole families seeking refuge, so males must be allowed to leave. Therefore it is time to apply the counsel:
"if they persecute you in one place, flee to another" , like to the UK, which was exemplary in the second WW to respect conscientious objector's stand.
