  now, many years later, i remember the 1995 generation change, very well.. since early youth, hearing my father explaining in field service the 2520 years.

  it was his main theme in the field.. with the change my doubts started.

  with some jw friends we did not trust the organization anymore.

  Matthew chapter 24 mentions the great tribulation it technically doesn't mention Armageddon. DJW:

  imho, yes it does! because:

  verse 34 describes the generation that will pass away after the end. before that,

  verse 21 marks an event of greater destruction than the Deluge (cited again later) , Sodom & Gomorrah, or will ever occur again, so bigger than the post-millenium fire from heaven. therefore, that definition only fits Armageddon. ergo,

  "all these things" of verse 34 must include Armageddon, and the generation according to verse 34 survives it, to die later.

  Only one group of individuals fit those parameters: the Armageddon survivors that die in the final rebellion, ~ 1040 years from now.

  1995 - Worldly People for an Unlimited Period

  an unlimited period could have started at pentecost, or 1914, then, overlap is implied. Splane limited it to 2 life spans of anointed centenarians. 2 x 100 = 200, minus 2 overlaps of 20 years = 160, plus 1914,= 2074 plus I year of training of the new arrival in heaven for combat, 2075 as the new wt Armageddon date.

  wt teaches, the generation will start in 1914, end at Armageddon. but below, read Mathew again: The generation survives Armageddon, does not pass away until all has occurred, but dies afterward. Quibbling about the overlap should be over, the second fulfillment idea of the generation itself is finished.

  the article gave the deity's endurance as an example to follow. According to wt writers, he endured the indignities visited upon creation and suffered that mental anguish. -- ( except when he did not, blew a fuse, killed all life in the flood, causing suffering, horrible drowning deaths, --or confused the languages at Babel, it would have been too easy for the opposition to reach to heavens unitedly, [ Bezos and Musk take note]) --. so

  wt adherents, if the father can endure the pain indirectly , so can you, endure it directly, in the flesh, personally . what other choice do you have? it was really funny to hear the tortuous comments getting around that big absurdity, all based on the talking snake story, including illustrations .

  in the meantime, Life is a great gift, enJoy.

  in the latest jw broadcast, anthony morris the turd gives a talk about donations.

  to camouflage this, he starts and ends the talk by saying that isn't actually what he's doing.

  first he starts with the usual disclaimer, 'wt has never begged for money like christendom and we never will', you know the drill.

  PZ: talking about IOUs, wt owes a lot of people a lot of dough, for paying full time workers below the going rate, owes apologies, and $$$$ for lost opportunities, income. for working on a mostly useless project.

  Paul knew that his advanced writings, concepts would be subject to challenge and debate. to clinch his arguments , he labeled some "the Lord's commandments" as in I Cor 14, 34-37.

  wt writers of course, since 1958, are among the latter day disputers of these instructions.
