KerryKing - I think the reference to "large construction projects" is a boilerplate reference that gets put in just for effect. There are no ongoing large projects at present that I have heard of.

So, what is the objective of this direction?

I personally think they are trying to simply reengage kids who are graduating. The number of young who are leaving is staggering, and they know that it bodes the total demise of the religion if they don't slow it down. Yet, they have nothing meaningful to offer these young folks as they leave school. What to do? What to do? What to do?

Answer: dangle something in front of them that sounds exciting, even if it doesn't actually exist.

Experiences After Leaving

i am writing to ask if anyone cares to share their experience and/or offer advice for people leaving.

i was raised in the religion, and both my parents died when i was very young.

i recently stopped associating because my conscience no longer allows me to preach or support the organization.

When a JW discovers that the religion is no longer worth pursuing, there are some dramatic life changes that need to be made to fill the void. Being free is euphoric, but it can become stale without meaning in life. All of the suggestions above are helpful. I might add that immersing oneself in volunteer efforts to help others is also essential.

As a JW, you may have felt (mistakenly) that you were doing something to help others, and that no doubt brought you satisfaction. Now you have the opportunity to actually start devoting some time toward that effort.

Personally, I find that it is therapeutic as it re-grounds me and connects me to the community. And, there is no shortage of ways to genuinely bring relief others.

I started by doing volunteer roadside cleanup. This helped me build some relationships, and I branched out to help the elderly. This proved to be what brought me the greatest satisfaction. For the first time in my life, I began to feel that I was spending my energy in meaningful ways. I hope this helps.

The World Today

i've been meaning to share some recent experiences that defy the usual tropes about the 'world gone to hell' or 'people now days".. as some of you may remember i was seriously ill for a while and had to close my business and shop.

now, as it seems i have beaten it, i put up a sign again advertising that in a limited way i'm back.. what amazes me is how many times over the past 2 years customers and even competition have written and called to express their concern and best wishes.

just last week i had a personal visit of someone who i thought of as a rival, come in and shake my hand sincerely happy to see me up and around.

"...like bees that were molested" is one example of the cringe that I felt when singing some of the songs. If you knew the composer of these songs, you would understand why they were so odd. Some of us felt that we needed some professional song writers (non-JWs) who could provide the framework for a polished, motivating music program.

this isn't a transcript of his whole speech but i thought i would try and get some of his main speech in writing.. at around 1hr26 minutes he starts talking about some dangerous thinking in feeling there is some wiggle room in regards to the schedule for the gt.

but you see, we need to be careful about what we are thinking about the number of anointed ones left on earth.

Lowering the age for Bethel admittance and Evangelizers school is a clear sign that fewer young people are applying. They are trying to get the labor they need BEFORE that labor gets disenchanted and fades.

on february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.

a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.

in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

out of curiosity, i went to the jw website to see if they had posted anything about helene, it's damage, and what their relief plans may be, i any.

i looked in the news and in video sections to see if there were any postings.

i couldn't find anything.

Free TheMasons - I brought up the Homestead exemption because it is a common provision for homeowners in all the counties of NC. It is almost never itemized in the tax bill however. The amount of tax for a house with that value is very low - lower than other homes in the area that are rented (rental homes do not qualify for homestead exemption).

WTC is smart enough to know that falsely claiming Homestead Exemption when the owner is not living on the premises, results in a steep fine.

Along with the photo of his car and the report by one of the posters who saw him in the driveway indicates that he does indeed live at that address. This seems hard for you to believe for some reason - I don't know why. He has to reside somewhere.
