Blessings and Curses
by jws inbiblical blessings and curses have always been an issue for me - at least since i started to look at this stuff with a more critical eye.. so, what are they exactly?
i know the traditional sense of the words.
if you're blessed, good things happen to you.

Much of the words Jesus really uttered might not have reached us
by Ireneus inmuch of the words jesus really uttered might not have reached us and what has reached us could not have been originated from jesus.
for example, eagle-eyed jeremiah could declare that what was circulating during his time as ‘the law of jehovah in fact was falsehood or deception of the lying pen of scribes or of the dishonest scribes.’ (jeremiah 8:8, berean study bible; christian standard bible; good news translation).
jesus who had even sharper eyes than jeremiah and also anointed by holy spirit would even use sharper words to describe the invalidity of that law than jeremiah did.

Mathew 12:35—a verse of paramount importance
by Ireneus injesus taught he would not use an organization on earth once he leaves the stage (mathew 7:12, 21-23; luke 6:38 …etc) this is because god respects the free-will of everyone and would not force anyone to follow certain path, which means system of things would climax in the situation described in 2tim 3:1-5.. yet those who want to lead a life of ease are not left in the lurch.
there is a verse of paramount importance that jesus spoke of: ‘everyone acts/reacts according to his passion—beneficial or wasteful’ (mathew 12:35) which means there is no basis for certain expected response, towards your action, from others.
this is interesting, because we often get disappointed when others do not appreciate the good we do or are not grateful to us.

God did not give dream to Pharaoh
by Ireneus inthough joseph declared ‘interpretation of dream belong to god’ (genesis 40:8; 41:16) what joseph supposedly presented as interpretation from god brings reproach on god himself because it implies god is responsible for famine which would mean natural calamities are caused by god.
(genesis 41:32) why should god spread untruth about himself?
things happen as part of a flow of events due to various factors and forces acting together.

Some of the vital teachings of the Bible are later interpolations, says Bible writer Habakkuk
by Ireneus inso small a book, yet habakkuk answers too big questions.. 1) god did not ask israelites to plunder other nations (habakkuk 2:8).
2) god did not authorize eating of flesh of other living beings.
(habakkuk 1:15) uninspired bible writers invented a story of noah’s flood which meant all plant lives got destroyed which necessitated the eating of flesh of living beings (ironically, as though god commanded noah to eat the flesh of the very living beings god supposedly commanded him to save through ark taking two of all creatures).

Preaching--not a God-ordained work
by Ireneus in1) when christians tried preaching in india, they were surprised to see mr. m. k. gandhi, leader of the freedom struggle, already practicing the very essence of bible.. 2) swami vivekananda (the star campaigner of hinduism) got a shock of his life when he met a christian boy already practicing the very essence of hinduism when he was on a foreign tour.
vivekananda purchased one kilogram of apple from a shop and started walking with it.
a boy who was following him stopped him and wanted to repurchase the apple, offering the double amount.

Claiming “We are appointed by Jesus to spiritually feed others” is futile
by Ireneus in1)what jesus actually said was ‘he wouldn’t appoint anybody to dispense spiritual food’ (mathew 7:21-23); and what is purportedly said by jesus in mathew 24:45 could not have been uttered by jesus because of the very wording “slave” used in tacit endorsement of the prima facie inhuman practice of slavery, about which abraham lincoln said “if slavery is not wrong, then nothing is wrong.”.
2)people know what is wrong and even hate it when it is found in others.. 3)people know what is right.
see how the world responded with prayers and unsolicited help when twelve boys belonging to the wild boars soccer team and their coach were caught up in a cave in thailand.. 4)people know even what becomes wrong which was once treated as right.

It is unlikely that Jesus invoked God in his teaching
by Ireneus init is unlikely that jesus invoked god in his preaching because his best teaching at mathew 7:12 has no reference of god in it, and the best and biggest illustration which is so clear that more than one interpretation is not possible, found at mathew 25:31-46, too doesn’t have worship-reference to god, but contains only pure humanism.. both the teachings are so obvious to discern from the universe whose main highlight is that it is mostly fine-tuned which lends its the teaching to all who are looking at it: “fine-tune whatever you do—your thinking, your speech, and your deeds in such a way that it benefits you and others, and then perform it because what you do is the energy you send out and all your experiences are the energy that returns, in which god plays no role at all.”.
most of the other things must have been attributed to jesus which have done more of confusion rather than convincing.

Jesus Christ—The Greatest Scientist (and Psychologist) who ever lived on earth!
by Ireneus inif we eliminate all the controversial and confusing verses attributed to jesus we will get the crystal clear truth from him because his source was (1) god which can be seen from his habit of early morning talking to god in prayer (mark 1:35; john 8:1, 2) which would not have been for material blessings (mathew 6:8; 16:24), and (2) also observance of people.. 1) jesus who said judgment is based on whether we acted humanely or not (mathew 25:31-46) would not have spoken about god’s people and pagans (which means bulk of the things found in gospel had not been spoken/done by jesus).. 2) another important truth he said was about the real key to our happiness which he said is with each one of us.
(luke 17:21).
from his observance of history, he knew there are people from adversities who made great contribution to the world; and there are people from all abundance who lived a life of wastage accomplishing nothing; and there are people who are mixed in varying degree.
