when you are fortunate enough to be in the presence of a jw penis you must take care to show the proper respect for it!

doesn't matter if said penis is prepubescent!

i like how it looks in other people but not for myself.. this is a phrase i have heard often from my wife.

now i am to a point where i am trying to figure it out if this is something all women do or say.

i can understand how you would say this if you were talking about a type of clothing that doesn't go with your figure, except that you may add the disclaimer... "if i had that figure i would wear this".

Eh, this all seems to be about your tattoo and not about what clothes or jewellery she likes. The tattoo is the issue here isn't it? She won't tell you why she doesn't want you to have one, is that it?

I would never get a tattoo because I don't like the idea of something permanent on my body that I couldn't change, at least without a huge amount of pain to remove it. This doesn't make me think other people shouldn't have them, it's just how I feel about my own body.

Women generally know what suits them according to their body shape with regard to clothes. So your wife may admire something on another woman but know from personal experience it won't suit her own shape.

this is the life of a real person who appeared and vanished as though only dreamed up by an overly emotional writer.. lili boulanger was born to a father 77 years old, yet they formed an adoring bond almost from the moment she drew her first breath!

Thank you Terry. Doesn't it remind you of a film score, it has that epic feel to it? It reminds me to be grateful for having time left to achieve and to appreciate the beauty in our lives, art, music, the landscapes of the country I'm lucky enough to be born in.

She had such a short life but filled with music. Sometimes we complain about having only old age ahead of us but what's the alternative?

what's the point of debating?.

in my opinion it's not to win the argument, but rather to present the evidence and let the audience/lurkers decide the best case.

therefore i thought maybe the best way to present our current beliefs would be to start a thread where only " testimonies of former christians" are permitted .

The danger of thinking we know everything.

a thought occurred that there is a danger in thinking we know everything, or have it all figured out in life.

especially when it comes to matters of doctrine or faith.. witnesses (or at least the society as a whole) are so self-confident, so proud to be the only ones who know "the truth" about everything to do with the universe, the earth, our past and our future, that pride kicks in.

and pride is dangerous...(.and before a fall).

The more you learn you realise there is so much still left to learn. I'm baffled by people who think humanity knows everything. We're just scratching the surface of knowledge.

Why do so many people believe in psychic powers?

as an ex-witness i have enjoyed becoming open to other people's views and understanding.

therefore this o.p is on the subject of psychic powers.

my own exsperience i can't explain rationally, but as a child many times i had dreams that came true in detail, yet many may explain it away as deja vu.

You won't get any takers Rebel. Some have tried on here In the past but the replies are always, that's anecdotal, your imagination or if it was true someone would have won the million dollars from James Randi.

As you say until it can be proved by scientists it is only a belief so I keep my fascinating experiences to myself as do many others because, unsurprisingly, people are allergic to 'beliefs' here. I do think in most societies, however, it's quite acceptable to mention an interesting and unprovable experience in a relaxed setting.
