  any ideas what this is about?

  Thanks for that. Firstly, nice work if you can get it and secondly, I wonder if this is permissable under the terms of their registration as a UK charity. Presumably the CO is funded via contributaions made in the UK and intended for the 'public benefit' in the UK.
  Hmmm, quick query to the Charity Commission I think . . . .

  I don't know all the rules but I can't see that one having any traction. There are loads of UK charities that do work in the UK and abroad - Children in Need, Oxfam etc. spring to mind.

  There is oodles of WT cash flowing out of the UK to other branches all around the world. Not only that but it is completely within a charity's remit to send officials abroad for all sorts of reasons.

  NP - I have friends in the Hastings area and the circuit there is smaller than others as the CO goes off to the middle east to do their CO visits. I could find out the name of the last CO there but it's all due for the three year change this September.

  There are other COs responsible for foreign language circuits. I know Peter Morgan did this recently.

  The UK looks after areas like UAE and Pakistan.

  There is a CO assigned to the Hastings area of East Sussex that also jets off to Dubai to do their visits.

  then the brother handling the part discusses what a "powerful witness" is being given each time those carts roll out into public view.. experiences: had a nice conversation with a young man.

  One of the points to come out of the UK branch visit today was that in the latest YB there is a picture of Sam Herd doing the carts. He is showing a person a video on dub.dork. It was stressed by the speaker that this is how the GB want the work done - i.e. leave the literature on the cart until it is clear that a person is interested. So engage with them first and qualify the giveaway.

  So they are looking to give less and less away whilst uping the number of hours that publishers do since they can be on the carts for ages.

  I believe the memorial attendance is down on last year, but I am not sure which countries are counted in the Britain total.

  OK - it was basically the following:

  1 - don't worry about the upcoming persecution we are likely to get. God is with us. Whatever the courts or media throw at us don't forget Jehovah approves us.

  2 - Chelmsford (the new British Branch HQ) is pushing forward and they got planning approval yesterday. A coincidence put down to Jehovah's blessing

  3 - around 225k at in the UK at the memorial this year

  4 - don't lose your joy. How? Go to the meetings, do more in the service, pray, don't worry about what you can't change and count your blessings.

  NB - I use "us" in the broad sense

  Oh, and Jehovah can measure the universe in the span of his hand. I guess his hand must be getting bigger.

  what percentage would you say of all jehovah's witnesses really 100 percent follow the shunning decree to the letter just answer with a percent thank you

  Depends. If it's a close family member - 10%. If it's some body you never liked anyway - 100%

  Seriously, I think for anyone outside of a family relationship with the DF'ed person it's going to be up around 80%
