Ah, so let me get this straight. People were sent there just to work? And the Zyklon B was used for what? Maybe it was the German's way of motivating there works. Hmmm...I imagine if you were a child or an old person, they didn't have much work for you to day. Why were these people also sent to "work camps"? What about the accounts of Germans not being able to keep up with killing all of these "workers" when the Allies were closing in? If the pupose of these camps were to gather free labor, why the desperate attempt to kill as many Jews as possible? There are accounts of Jews being herded into barns which were then set on fire. Why?
Also, you failed to reply about the mobile killing squads that when into areas after the German army invaded. I'd be interested to read what you have to say about them. Maybe they were just recruiters looking for people for the "work camps."

No Jim, youre wrong. Very wrong. Cant you even see the events that lead up to the Holocaust? As early as 1933 anti-Semitic laws were passed. The concentration camps were the end result of this hatred building up. How do you explain what the American 7 th . Army found when it liberated Dachau? Or when the Americans liberated Buchendwald? Or when the Soviets liberated Maidanek? Or when the British liberated Bergen-Belsen? They found camps set up for the purpose to kill Jews. Did this "Jewish conspiracy" that you speak of work in fooling the American, British and the Soviets? Wow, thats amazing!!! And all of those mass graves, piles and piles of people, that all of these soldiers saw. Yeah, that must have been special effects that the Jews conjured up. Oh, what about the "einsatzgruppen." Yeah, those lovely mobile killing squads who would follow the German army into areas that they conquered and then round up and exterminate "undesirable" people. Must have been another Jewish conspiracy. Oh, one last thing. How do you explain the old man who I knew when I was a JW and his story of growing up as a Witness in Nazi Germany and what he saw. Oh yeah, he must be part of the "Jewish conspiracy."

While I agree 100% that people should be allowed to believe whatever they choose, not matter how stupid it is, I'm not certain if the situation regarding the Holocaust is same in Germany as it is here in the USA. I believe that Germany wants to make sure that this never happens again. One of the first steps that groups such as the Nazis or the KKK take is to dispense misinformation. Infringing on the freedom of speech on this issue verses the seeds of facistism again being planted....hmmm...is choosing the lesser of two evils.
And while I acknowledge Jim's opinion on the holocaust and believe he has the right to express it, I personally find it insulting. The evidence is so clear, the documents left by the Germans, the witnesses who survived, the camps that were left behind. Hell, what else do you want, Hitler to be reincarnated and 'fess up? The Germans have and continue to pay the price for what they did. We Americans can learn from their example and what our country did to the native americans.
i remember hearing over and over about how wonderful it was to be gathered together at the assemblies, and how the brotherly love flowed, and everyone got along.. they would comment that where else could you get 10,000 and more people together where there was so much peace and unity.. we were flat out told there was no where that this occured.
that wordly people could never have that many people together, then riots would happen, fights, drunken idiots etc.. well, i have been to many busines seminars, where there are thousands of people, and they never get out of hand.
i have been to many concerts with thousands of people there, and they don't get out of hand.. how egotistical these power witnesses are to think they are the only ones that can get along peacefully.. i know there are cases of fights, or something at large events, but there has been things like that at assemblies too.. has anyone here seen fights, or disturbances at assemblies, or large witness gatherings?

At assemblies, most JWs are just so bored out of their minds that they are on the verge of being in a coma. That's the real reason there aren't any disturbances.

actually you can modify all kinds of pictures you have in your computer.
We have it here at work but it's used by the gurus in the graphics department. I'm in engineering but have a copy on my 'puter. I've putzd around with it but don't really know how to use it. I use CAD software every day but would like something to mark up JPGS I take with my digitial camera here at work. Any simple tips I can keep in mind while I learn this software?
