  Third World War

  it looks like we might really be going to war (they voted against us) iraq is getting an antidote for nerve gas (sounds like they are preparing) i fear that israel will drop a bomb on them.if this happens all hell will break loose.

  does anyone know if they will start drafting?

  but deep down they know that the removal of Sadam is needed. They will stand quietly aside as he is removed and a new democratic Arab leader is put in his place.

  This is the LAST thing Arab countries in the region want. Do you think Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, etc. wants their people to see a flurishing, democratic Arab country? Hell no! This would give the people of their own land something to think about, a possible way to make their lives better.

  Nope, the Saudies esp. do not want a democratic Arab country. That's why they were so reluctant to back the US. They only did so 10 years ago when their necks were on the chopping block.

  Personally, I'd like to see Iraq tranformed just as post-WWII Japan was. One can only hope.

  HOW BETHELITES MAKE MONEY

  it is called government work- it refers to gov employees being lazy and just getting a check.

  well it has to do with bethelites being too lazy to go out and get a real job so we do side jobs to make money while at bethel.

  and you can make alot if you are in the right "trade" electrician, plumber, tile setter, roofer, etc and it is all tax free.

  i left the jw's at 16 - df'd actually, 17 years ago.

  it was horrific.

  i lost friends, to some extent family etc.

  VOW OF POVERTY which is a form from the IRS saying you will not do any side jobs-

  My brother-in-law, Jason Hentges, use to tell me all kinds of stories about doing side-jobs while he was at Bethel. There was one non-Bethel brother who owned a construction company in NYC and he'd use Bethelites. Everyone would be like "Aw...isn't that so nice that he's helping those poor brothers" all the while he's paying them half what he'd half to pay a "worldly" person. Geez, what a scam!

  there were several different careers that the wts did not aprove of.

  such as a being a cop, for having a gun.

  couldn't be a martial arts instructor.. maybe it was a well paying career.. did you have a job that was not approved of?

  Happy Halloween - Another Ghost Story.

  ok, every family has at least one ghost story and heres the one that our family always told.. my grandfather was an officer in the dutch army and he, along with his family lived in indonesia (a dutch colony at the time).

  evidently spiritism is really big down there among the indonesians.

  anyway, my grandfather,along with a few of his army buddies, are making their way through a village.

  'people start dabbling with things they shouldn't be

  To be honest Mary, I don't really know. Do ghost exist? Who knows. I've never seen one. To me there are so many "real" things in life that are dangerous. I have yet to wake up one morning and head a headline in the paper about some ghost running around D.C. shooting people or crashing planes into buildings. I'm not the least bit worried about some doll that plays hide & seek or some casper the ghost the like to play on a swing. What scaries me is the nutrods walking around. There isn't any need to make-up monsters because there are human ones all around us. We've just gotton use to seeing them.
