1919 a Date with Zero Prophetic Meaning
by JW_Rogue ini've noticed that lately the wt has been using the date 1919 more often.
in an almost matter of fact way, they will state that this is the year jesus finished refining his people and appointed the fds.
the only problem is there is little proof or even prophetic antitypes given for why this must have been the year.

Don't worry. The next revised version of the Revised New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures will correct any discrepencies that the bible has thereby bringing it inline with current teachings of the Watchtower magazine. Oh, and to prove the new revised version is the new truth backed by jehovah the GB will find at least three more places to insert the name 'jehovah' into the bible.

phone scams
by zeb ini received a phone call, "is that (name)?".
i was working my way around a car park and answered.
"yeah hang on" at which the caller hung up.. this is a scam where they are wanting you to confirm who you are so they can move on identity theft.. the voice was male clear like a professional announcer.. i have reported this to the relevant authorities.. i have also frozen my bank account..

You can always answer unknown callers in Russian, just saying hello will suffice. If they are trying to scam Australians, usually from an fake Indian call centre for microsoft, telstra, or optus, then they will try to identify your language if you speak other than English. At this point speak English with a fake Russian accent. Some people I know have told them "this is the Russian Embassy and you are not from our technical department." Click!

Interesting that the Namibian government passes laws that protect the rights of volunteer bethel works and the first thing the Watchtower tries to do is shut down their bethel operations so they don't have to give rights to JWs.
Good thing the government refused to allow them to deregister. They knew exactly what was going to happen. The JWs had no intention of shutting shop in Namibia but rather to reform under another name to avoid liability.
You've got to wonder about the mindset of the god of that religion.

The Jehovah's Witness denomination is among the most popular churches in the world.
Especially true if you consider that the JW leaders have been invited to appear before many a government, such as in Australia for the child abuse royal commission which resulted in the denomination being condemned, Russia for religious extremism which resulted in the denomination being banned, Britain which has resulted in the denomination being investigated by the charity commission, to name a few.
Then of course the denomination is also very popular with lawyers and law firms around the world who all want the opportunity to personally meet and talk to the members of the governing body, albeit in a courtroom.

Thinking about the faders in Russia
by Funchback inimagine that you are fading and then, one day, the government bans your religion.. you no longer should have to fake it.
your fade has now been done for you.. but, imagine the fader who now must attend bunker meetings just to maintain being part of the jw family.. for me, the ban would be my ticket out, but i imagine that some faders in russia are still forcing themselves to attend underground meetings.
for those faders in unbanned countries: would a ban be your ticket to religious freedom?.

The Watchtower magazine has repeatedly told believers that Britain and the USA in biblical prophecy is a world power, namely the Anglo-American world power, and that Britain is the continuation of the Roman Empire by reason that Rome once controlled Britain.
Hong Kong was also part of that world power for many years as it was under British rule. Eventually it returned, in principle, back to the control of mainland China.
Therefore the Roman Empire overlapped the British Empire which joined the USA in an overlap to form the Anglo-American world empire (power) which overlapped to included Hong Kong which has since overlapped to include China.
Evidently it's an overlapping world empire which includes Rome, Britain, the USA, Hong Kong, and China.
China overlaps Taiwan by claiming it as it's own but the USA refuses to recognize this.
This leaves a few questions that need answering. Who is now the king of the north according to the Watchtower? They don't know. Who is now the king of the south according to the Watchtower? They don't know.
But one think we can all agree on is that the Watchtower is definitely the king of pain and the governing body are the court jester.
