I think it was meant that the COBE's wife and daughter were traveling alone.... meaning that THEY could have transported the elderly person, but didn't.

by karter ini was a regular taxi for alot of people.. we (wife & family) pick up one sister and her 2 children for many years ...he husband had walked out on her and we did'nt mind.. however when we were asked by the cobe wife to pick up and elderly and infermed bro a 3 day assembly (we had 3 young children) i said no.. we pased her and her daughter traviling alone to the assembly.. .

by Mary ini just got a call from a friend of mine who is going to court on friday to fight to see his children because his jw ex-wife doesn't want him to have access to them anymore.
in a nutshell this is his situation: met her about 12 years ago after she had left the borg and they got married and had a couple of kids.
she decided that she didn't want her children murdered by jehovah at armageddon so after being gone for 7 years, she went back and went back with a vengence.

Yeah, the WTS likes too promote their racial indifference, but the truth really shines when the vast majority of their pictures and art show white men in dominant positions. The only exception is when they are showing "prominent" brothers in non-white countries.
AND....why, out of 7.5 million JWs world wide, would Jehovah choose only ONE non-white guy to serve on the governing body? (especially since the vast majority of the world population is NOT white????!!!)
tsk, tsk, Watchtower, you should be more careful with your illusions.

Current policy regarding child molesters
by loosie ini brought up the conti case with a newly x- jw and they said that the child molestion policy was changed in 90's as far as elders reporting to the authorities.
so my question is what was the policy changed from and what did it change to?
and what is the most current letter that we have a copy of regarding the reporting policy?

by Chariklo inincreasingly, i find myself resistant to any form of religion that dictates exactly what i should believe, what i should wear, down to the last skirt to meeting, or what i eat, what i read, what i watch, and denies me my god-given right to think for myself and to use the brain he gave me.. that's what i've gained from the watchtower.. thank you, watchtower!

I'm thankful that their continual spouting of finding "the truth" is what eventually led me to find the truth about them.
And, I'm also thankful that they gave me a foundation of morality (no illicit drugs, no racism, maintaining marital fidelity, etc.)
