You all have me confused with this thread....now I'm thinking I should go back to the meetings!!
Oh Geez! Now we have to start the de-programming all over again!
there are certainly enough valid criticisms of the wts and the jw religion, but a significant number of often-repeated criticisms of the religion are, imnsho, just ludicruous and serves to take attention away from the real issues.
significant problems with the wts includes, but are not limited to, the shunning policy, the blood issue and of course the corporate policy of hiding child molestors.. here is a list of criticisms of the wts that i find particularly annoying to see:.
russell was a freemason (or, even worse, the wts is part of some other large-scale conspiracy like the illuminati).

They might as well break out the pocket watch to swing before our eyes as they whisper, You are getting sleepy.
LMAO!

Agreed. This is how the pedophile issue is skirted by the society. They know there are people out there saying "Jehovah's Witnesses are child molesters!" So they come out with an obvious statement "we abhor this" and, of course, this is true, and JW's say "What a silly idea! Boy! Satan sure is working overtime!"
this is a both a departure from the conventional paleo-hellenic concepts of logic to a primitive yet equally tenable principle of,'actions speaking louder than words', and a synopsis.. the wts is but one of many groups which are devoted to the disintergration of the traditional or biblical family structure, via nefarious means, as part of a greater plan that envisions a two-class new world order resembling feudalism.. .
the philosophic means to achieve this state is non-biblical.
the wts repudiates the christian principle of "loving your neighbour as yourself " by adopting an altruistic approach which demands to 'love your neighbour above yourself ".
uh...we speak English here. Can you?
okay, folks.
whenever people say these kind of things in disasters i think, "well, what about the other guy who got killed?
god didn't feel like saving little johnny today?
The Witnesses use this thinking. '..Many people were injured but two Jehovah's Witnesses were unharmed..' or 'The tornado wiped out every building in the area except the Kingdom Hall!'
hi guys,.
this is a question for those that have dissasociated yourselves, and it might seem really stupid.. a while back i had a conversation with my parents in which i claimed that if i had ever been baptised i would have certainly dissasociated myself.
i asked whether or not they would still have contact with me.. they said yes, but would avoid having me at family gatherings.. i was not happy with this, but at least it was'nt as bad as shunning.. despite my standing now, my parents are now starting to get over it, and have been great, i cannot imagine my parents shunning me, despite anything i am still their daughter.
Why D.A. yourself?
To get it over with and get on with your life!

Hi Jan,
I like your posts. I don't particularly agree with this one.
The evidence of Russell's connection to the Freemasons: on the covers of his publications. Russell's publications displayed emblems such as the Masonic "cross and crown" , the Knights of Malta symbol, and the winged-sun-disc. All of these emblems have deep roots in Freemasonry. This curious association is intriguing. It makes one wonder what influence this may have had on his thinking.
I also believe that the Witnesses are a cult that uses brainwashing techniques. The website Ex-Cult.org has an interesting list of identification marks to check for in a possible cult. Click here. What organization that you know of fits this criteria almost to a tee?
My favorite "STUPID criticisms" of the Witnesses are "They don't believe in Jesus" and "They don't go to the doctor".

i am sure this question has been posted by someone before ...but it wasn't by me so it doesnt count..lol .
to those that post here do you..... a. consider yourself christian.
b. consider yourself pagan.
E. all of the above (...really f***ed in the head and confused as to what you believe)
This is me I guess except to me it's not really that confusing. Rather it is a lack of available data. I admit that I don't know. I don't think we can know yet.
See my previous post Religious Bigotry and the Divine Puzzle.
(Although I just realized that title sounds a little too much like a C.T. Russell book! However, there are no pyramids involved!)
