for a while, now celebrate the holidays?
Well, last month I went my first-ever birthday party! Ever! Raised as a jw, I was never allowed to be at any of my friends' parties, but now that I am free, I decided to celebrate my friend's birthday with her and our friends! And we had a great time. And for any active jws that may be reading this - NOTHING BAD HAPPENED, OK!! It was just a simple gathering of my friend's friends and family, all together and enjoying each other's company. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
it feels great to be free.
it feels great to go out with old girlfriends for beer and wings.
it feels great to walk down the street and smile at people i don't know.
Yep, it's a great feeling to be free. I have never felt so alive!
