  jw.org is on collision course with russia.

  the may wt study edition is full of prophesy related to the time of the end and what we have read so much in isaiah and jeremia bookstudy publications.. they found their enemy again.

  jw.org needs enemy's to exist.

  i was thinking about this at work the other day, and realized the one positive thing i can truly credit the jws with: .

  i have no fear of public speaking.

  i was a shy kid, fat, clumsy, with crooked glasses and worse teeth, who wore hand-me-downs in one of the wealthiest counties in all of america, who sat still while classmates got up to salute the flag or recite the pledge of allegiance.

  That is good you just wanted to serve. I do think my parents saw a lot of abuse and special treatment of people by the elders. My mother was in opposition and it ended with an elder asking her to step into a small room in the kingdom hall where she claimed she got yelled at for the entire service. My father for some odd reason did not go look for her (well he was odd). But after that incident my mother no longer wanted to attend. I do remember my father expressed he was not allowed to think for himself. They thought this movement was based on a truth foundation but they were wrong. Both were woefully ignorant of the whole creation story of Russellism etc. My father knew more though. My parents visited the US in the 90s or so and there my mother saw something new to her that my father knew about; existing Bible student groups preaching on campus. In my mother's mind, it was very important "the truth" was not divided

  JW old books and mags selling hot on ebay

  so i have an eye out for a couple of the more nefarious jw books from the past.

  i look on ebay etsy and others.

  i see that the older books are selling for a good price.

  I remember we had a cute little library in our Kingdom hall that would sometimes be used as an extra room during theocratic school. No idea what books they had but i do remember a curious old Bible map with a dinosaur on 🤭

  I had Salvation too but tossed it all out. The Biblestudent groups still sell the Russell books

  But true as Ses Breeze, JWs have not come to terms with own demise. A combination of theological positions gave/give them the grotesque hope that they will never die of old age. I think my parents lost all hope when they gradually after 1975 realized the wts did not have "the truth"

  Some people fear this some that. When the enemy soldiers come, it is usually bad news for the civilians. Years ago many people feared a nuclear bomb immensely but against all odds it never happened yet. Climate change, overpopulation the bad things have many names. I remember my father forced himself to drink sour milk by exclaiming how yummy it was. I have some funny sad images in my head of dad sticking some milk bottle in my mother's face to determine if it was fresh. She got tired of it but perhaps he could not determine himself. Yummy yummy he said while drinking it. That is probably how he survived as child. Some deal with old age the same way. I am comforted by being clay in the master's hand and a child of Jesus. Our life situation is as it is but it is how we deal with the situation.
