I bet he's going to be a deadbeat dad & not pay for his kids support.
If Lloyd does this, you know he will blame people like us instead of his own selfish actions.

That goal of 380 in reverse is within reach. I was about to ask if he ever did even one Ted Talk and if he did, why are they not recorded anywhere? At least he did enhance the reach of his work by traveling to more diverse locations like Thailand.

Hey look at that, Lloyd Evans is almost to his goal of 380 patrons in reverse.

As for his promise to produce a documentary, there's a really juicy one that he could call "How I Ruined 2022 For Myself and My Family." Can't wait!
Oh, come now, you know that title will be "How Kim Silvio and Those Other Six People Ruined 2022 For Myself and My Family." He will never take responsibility for anything.
i'll assume we have all felt a jolt of loss when a favorite tv, movie or book character dies.
when i watched the death of the incredible hulk tv movie after years of reading the comics and watch the tv show i was impacted.
funny even today it just feels wrong.
The very last Columbo mystery movie was sad to watch. Not because the character died, but it was obvious that Peter Falk, the actor, was struggling with his health. That episode aired in 2003 and Peter Falk died in 2011. He did a few cameos in other movies, but struggled to know his lines.
It may not be what you were looking for, but the last Columbo movie signaled the end of an era that will never return. I hope there is never a reboot as it will never be as good as Peter Falk with his rumpled raincoat, cigar, and beat up Peugeot 403.

JeffT, this is exactly what I've been thinking but couldn't put into words.

If that is Tibor, he's looking more like his boss every day.

But the main thing is bots. You could easily run tens of thousands of bots and not only doesn't it cost you anything it costs the company. Having a charge changes the equation. It's why the future will be micro-transactions for sending email and using other services.
As long as I already have to pay for internet services for home and phone, they can keep their idea of micro-transactions, blue checkmarks and whatever else. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, Yahoo and more are already funded by ads, because we are the product. If they can't get by on ad revenue, then they deserve to go bankrupt. As for bots, that is their problem, not mine. Go ahead and try to charge me, they will quickly find out how valuable I believe their website really is. There are already plenty of paywalls out there and none of them get access to my bank account.

Wiki gives a newly minted term: slacktivism.
”Performative activism is activism done to increase one’s social capital rather than because of one’s devotion to a cause. It is often associated with surface-level activism, referred to as slacktivism. The term gained an increased usage on social media in the wake of the George Floyd protests.”
That term is new to me and does it ever fit. We see so many "slacktivists" out there. They take the form of fake outrage to people just wanting to fit in. We also see them in the form of bots set up by some of these influencer groups. Frankly the whole practice ruins any true activism and debate.

I don't know his point in debating Catholics, unless he assumes he's gonna wake up a few members and they'll start worshiping him for his wisdom and saving them from the horrors of church.
What of his followers that never were JWs and are Catholics or left Watchtower to become Catholics? Did he even think this plan through? Is Lloyd's plan to alienate the remainder of his ever decreasing audience? It amuses me that he is so militant atheist and so determined to be right about everything that he will risk ruining the remainder of his following. Yes there is a growing segment that doesn't believe in god. There is a larger percentage that doesn't care if there is a god, doesn't have an opinion, or believes it is a personal decision where a organized religion is unnecessary. The ones like that aren't looking for his channel. They are watching other videos on YouTube far more interesting.
