  Jehovah's Witnesses Do Not Believe in Freedom of Religion

  this statement may seem odd at first.

  you may think of jehovah's witnesses as being an american religion in a country where freedoms exist and are prized.

  you may think of the organization's legal battles in the supreme court to protect certain rights and freedoms.

  But the real proof that they actually DO NOT believe in a person's religious freedom is this: they do not allow a member to change religions or to formally stop practicing the religion without severe, abusive penalties.

  
  

  That's true, but only because of the word 'formally'.

  You have to take into account that most of the ones I know that don't go any more (including my family) haven't been disfellowshipped. They simply stopped going without any fuss.

  Your opinion about dating sites?

  i have been a jw all my life, while i also have a "spiritual divorce", which means i can remarry a jw again.

  i am not sure if i want to go that route again and dating in the jw world feels like a struggle sometimes.

  with all the rules.

  I think it all depends if you want to continue being a JW or not?

  If not then yes, dating sites are the modern way. There's no stigma attached to them in the way there used to be.

  If yes, then, well, good luck! Did I read somewhere that available jw women outnumber available men? If so it could be a buyer's market.

  Things I remember growing up in the 70s

  i remember sitting on my daddy's lap and driving an imaginary car, i also remember sitting on my mummies lap on the front seat, without a seat belt whilst my dad drove a real car.

  i remember we bought fish and chips from the chippy wrapped in yesterday's newspapers.

  i remember bouncing up and down on my space hopper in the garden.

  Making Bogies.

  For those on the other side of the atlantic, you would take the axles and wheels from an old silver cross pram and connect them together with a piece of wood allowing the front axle to swivel via a bit of string. if you were posh you'd cover the wood with a bit of old carpet. You'd then find the biggest hill you could and have races down it.

  Jumping over your mates with your bike. You'd build a ramp and get your mates to lie down and you'd jump over them evel kinevel stylee.

  You keep using big words that don't quite fit what you're trying to say or what you think they mean. Stop it. It's like you eaten a dictionary and don't quite know how to digest it. It's taking away from what you're trying to say.

  It's my own work, Landy. That's why it seemed rather long because I wanted to explain, the best way viable. It took me awhile to bring it off. "You simply seek to blame someone else for it rather than realize it's your own lack of an argument that is the cause of your current feelings."
