I was DF'd, No great loss. I don't give a rats azz about Watchtower 's new policies or any Jw's . My life and circle of friends and family has greatly improved without Jwism.

Is there a new rule regarding disfellowshipped people?
by HOTB indoes anyone have any information about a relaxing of the rules regarding family reaching out to disfellowshipped members?.
i've heard of an elder being openly in touch with a long time disfellowshipped family member.
apparently the term 'compassionate view' had been bandied about.. i can't find anything relating to this.. i'd be interested what the new rule is in when came into play.. hotb .

I can never understand that Watchtower likes to keep their people dumb and stupid and rake in as much money from them as possible. Would it be better for Watchtower to have their people educated with good jobs so then they can Really get money from their members!?!

I have that experience. Elder Super Righteous was allowed to send his son to college with no problems. But for my family since my father was not an elder or even a servant, I wanted to go to trade school. It was the big FU by the elders. Especially by Elder Super Righteous. You can say that all hell broke loose when I signed into the Navy. Didn't matter I was never considered a publisher or even on the school.

Is the Governing Body hunting down PIMOs? LEAKED survey for select congregations in Canada
by liam init seems like the organization is hunting down pimos.
maybe the mark o donnell lawsuit is just the beginning.. this leaked survey in canada is asking some very weird questions from select publishers.
all i can say is that this will help wake up some pimi straddling the fence.

What a waste of time for Watchtower! Their 8.5 million Jw's they claim to have should be 2.5 million or less to get technical if you remove all Pimo's. Which the number is more and likely hugh judging by convention attendance and meeting attendance. Makes me laugh.

What is the Craziest Thing You Are Aware Of Someone Being Disfellowshipped For?
by Sea Breeze ini knew a lady who was disfellowshipped for 20 years for smoking.
she finally went back to the kh and since they couldn't find her paperwork, (all the former elders were dead) she was allowed back in without reinstatement.
no one even remembered her.

The funny thing about about the story is, I got Higher Education, DF'd, went into the Navy, served a few tours, return to somewhat of a civilian life and I got this one elder knocking on my door trying his hardest to befriend me and get me back into "The Truth". He even stated with my experience I would make a good leader. Sounds very desperate.

I got DF'd for getting an Education (Higher). I told the elder body " What should I do to support myself?, Handout Watchtowers and give my expanses to you guys?" The told my I was unruly and not showing a sheep like personality. I told them that they are a bunch of dumb azzes!

After I returned from my military Service. And Elder who know me called on me and asked me what it would it take to make me come back to being a JW? I told him I was always poor and broke when I was A JDub. Since I'm out I have money. I have a life.

My grandfather who was not a JW told me not to expect anyone from the JW'S or your family to help you. You must do this on your own. Watchtower is a multi Billion dollar company. They won't open their wallet to help you. But the sure got their hands out for your money. I see them for what they are, parasites on society.

I have to laugh when Watchtower frowns on Higher Education and then ask if any of the "Brothers " have degrees in legal or Technical Disciplines. They cry like little Bitches when someone in the Kingdumb Hall gets an education or tries. But ooh, it's a different story when they need something.

Green Handshakes - Taxable income in Australia
by Listener ini was doing some research on the taxable status of money being gifted to co’s and travelling missionaries and was surprised with what i found.
i had assumed that it was not taxable income in australia.. it is taxable income in australia and it‘s likely that the same rules apply in some other countries.. a registered religious institution only receives tax free status on donations because they have been endorsed by the australian tax office.
travelling overseas and missionaries are not in this category.. there’s a tax ruling that goes into great detail.

Though my younger life as a Jw, I worked for some Jw's that had businesses. My experience with working with Jw's is a horrible. Most of them were cheapskates and did most outlandish things not to pay taxes.
