  Went to a JW funeral today!

  today i (disfellowshipped gay boy) went to a jw funeral with my dad (ex-elder and not yet disfellowshipped supposed apostate), my brother (who wants nothing more to do with the org) and my mum (who was never interested anyway).

  well we had a great time.

  this was the first time i have seen all of them in over a year in some sort of congre'gay'tional setting, although we only went to the crem.

  A JWN Member just lost her Husband and She could use some encouragement.

  on 4/6, the poster orphan annie posted about her experiences with jw's and her ill husband.

  unfortunately, her husband died monday, and she is feeling very sad.

  i just wanted to make others aware of it, so that we can encourage her and give her some much needed support during this rough time.. her original thread is here.

  Help! Torn Mother (my mom) between to daughters (me nonJW and pioneer all faithful JW)

  my mother's text: "she tried to love u and be ur sis and leave jw out but when she invited u to memorial like last year she was thinking all religions believe in dead of christ so she wanted u to know when it was and have an invite but u had to send her scriptures back and stuff instead of saying i dont feel comfortable goin... and u dont see it that way u blame it all on jw instead of taking some responsibility for trying or not trying but just hurting her with bring up stuff.

  that hurts her.

  she tried last summer remember she even went swimming with u and did things with u. it wasnt until she saw u post things and blame jw that she had to cut ties.".

  Sorry you're going through this. you're not alone, Butterflyleia85. I agree with what OTWO and Flipper said and can only add that leaving the middle man or middle woman in this case, OUT of the pictuture. Nothing works against two people understanding one another like a go-between. All my hopes for a good outcome...

  wanted more kids, meaning them.

  we had two older.. how would a child feel after their mother tell them, i really.

  I have seen a bit of criticism here when someone posts something. I have even seen a little bit of bullying here. And on other forums as well. Some of it has even been directed at me. I see this kind of behavior and wonder if the ones doing the criticizing and bullying would do so if they were in the same room with me or their other targets. It's so easy to loudly proclaim that you think someone is full of it or stupid when you are hundreds and hundreds of miles away locked in your little house in anytown usa. Real easy to Bust a CAPSLOCK in my ass! LOL

  Is Watchtower Having Financial Problems?

  i have to wonder if the watchtower is having financial problems of some sort.

  at the very least they are spending more than they are taking in.

  which would explain all of the cutbacks of the last decade.

  Good points. Unfortuantely if I make any kind of statement about it I would be speaking out of school since I know nothing about their finances. I am waiting to see what everyone says about this one. Nice Post!
