Hey designs, honest question: Don't Jews believe in having a mediator? Don't Jews believe in having a preist?

by Star tiger ini beginning to think that this would be a good way of thinking, a totally righteous being would not let all the shit that is happenning to people prevail, this being cannot have the best interests of man as his first priority, it's all about ego and no matter how the human familty suffers, he hates pretty much everyone, as the tv show says, your fired, let's get a better god, one who at least gives everyone a chance!!.
i welcome comments from god apologists, to at least have an argument as to why they put they're faith in someone that does'nt give a shit about them!.

But it is offensive to a Jewish person when a trinitarian tells them they are wrong in their beliefs.
No kidding. John 15:18

An Old Argument.... does it hold water?
by AK - Jeff inestimates range from 4 million to 15 million children die from starvation each year on this planet.
that's between 500 and 1700 children a day, depending on what numbers you accept.
still, no matter which numbers you use, doesn't this make you arrive at one of the following conclusions?.

What was the average size of a dinosaur? How big were the huge dinosaurs in their youth? What size is the biggest dinosaur egg?

Sparks are gonna fly in my home
by marriedtoajw inas i've mentioned in a previous post, my wife has been sending mixed signals to me for years on what she does concerning violating jw rules.
what i didn't mention at the time was that she has also gone through gung ho sprees from time to time.
she is now insisting on taking the kids to the hall.

What have you tried? Have you read "How to Rescue Your Loved One from the Watchtower?" This contains photocopies from actual Watchtower literature that are gone through in order to release her mind from the lie that the JWs are God's channel.
One thing that gets a lot of people out is knowing that the JWs are actually not basing their teachings on the Bible. Have you seen exgileadmissionary on youtube?
Have you contacted a missionary specializing in cults? Baptist World Cult Evangelism, etc.?
If these things don't work on your wife, at least you would have more resources for your kids. I apologize if you have made use of these already.

OntheWayOut, I should personally apologize to you. I should not let superior attitudes rub off on me.
Ubermensch, don't you see my pretty pink bunny ears? I kinda like them, so I keep the avatar. lol
The particular fact that science has wrong is the reason of and the timing of the extinction of dinosaurs, which was the specific dinosaur fact that was being spoken of in relation to the flood. I have not stated which hypothesis I most agree with, and won't. My point is to provide factual information, you all can decide from there.
Of course, anytime the words everything, nothing, never and always are used, one is asking to lose a debate. I should go back and edit my post so that it appears I never used those words. No... it's okay. Everyone knows I am not perfect.

I apologize for the laugh. I was responding to a post with a similar attitude. The fact remains that science has much to learn about dinosaurs. They do not have everything right. Unfortunately, my disgusting attitude clouded that message.
I am not perfect. I am ashamed.
lo siento,

You don't understand the Trinity doctrine. YHWH is the God of Jacob for both Jews and true Christians. He is triune in the sense that He has three natures, even though Jews don't recognize or understand this. It's the same God Almighty, who happens to possess three natures, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is not a different God; only the understanding of YHWH's nature is different between the two groups. Even though Jews don't claim to worship a triune YHWH, that's the nature of the deity that they are worshipping whether or not they choose to acknowledge it.
I would agree, but it seems to me that the Jews, like JWs, are worshipping a limited God.
You say that even if we don't love God we should "act like" we do. That is being a fake and a hypocrite, is it not?
I tend to agree with this. Search for God. Find Him, love Him. Don't claim to be His if you don't really know Him. Isn't it obvious that this causes problems?

God created everything with a purpose. God created dinosaurs.
God killed everything except for what was on that ark and there are no dinosaurs today. God killed the dinosaurs at the flood. Either that, or you have to believe the earth is much older than the Bible indicates that it is and that while all of the science of evolution is false, science somehow gets the general facts about dinosaurs right.Actually, science doesn't get dinosaurs right. They are still finding things that are very surprising. Enjoy.
http://discovermagazine.com/2006/apr/dinosaur-dna:
This shifting perspective clicked with Schweitzer's intuitions that dinosaur remains were more than chunks of stone. Once, when she was working with a T. rex skeleton harvested from Hell Creek, she noticed that the fossil exuded a distinctly organic odor. "It smelled just like one of the cadavers we had in the lab who had been treated with chemotherapy before he died," she says. Given the conventional wisdom that such fossils were made up entirely of minerals, Schweitzer was anxious when mentioning this to Horner. "But he said, 'Oh, yeah, all Hell Creek bones smell,'" she says. To most old-line paleontologists, the smell of death didn't even register. To Schweitzer, it meant that traces of life might still cling to those bones.
She had already seen signs of exceptional preservation in the early 1990s, while she was studying the technical aspects of adhering fossil slices to microscope slides. One day a collaborator brought a T. rex slide to a conference and showed it to a pathologist, who examined it under a microscope. "The guy looked at it and said, 'Do you realize you've got red blood cells in that bone?' " Schweitzer remembers. "My colleague brought it back and showed me, and I just got goose bumps, because everyone knows these things don't last for 65 million years."http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7285683/

Just as I might teach my 4 year old that Jesus Christ loves him and he does not yet understand who God is, that 12 year old did not have the correct Biblical or scientific knowledge of the event. Didn't the Watchtower imply that the flood killed the dinosaurs? Haven't we learned that they are wrong on nearly everything? If one wants to know anything about God or the Bible they need to look elsewhere.

The God of the Bible is one God, unlimitless in power. He manifests himself to us in more than one way, in more than one form. He can be in a million places at once, and still be almighty. He created all things and through Him they are held together. This is my God.
The Trinity is one way this is explained, but He is so much more than our understanding. He is inside me. There are those identified as Christians that do not yet have His Spirit inside of them, teaching them all things, and there are Christians such as myself that don't have a perfect understanding, for as the scripture says, the way we see God now is as if in a smokey mirror. We have not reached that which is perfect.
In Christ,
