  We saw one room where a couple lived. Looked like a large suite hotel room. Nothing remarkable, pleasant enough I guess. Didn’t see any dining area. The food for lunch and dinner is prepared and the bethelites go get it and take it to their rooms to eat. I think breakfast is the only meal served in a dining area, and some of the bethelites eat breakfast in their rooms too and watch the morning worship on tv.

  The experience of visiting bethel ( and living there) is very different than it used to be.

  I find it funny that, although the blue Truth book was ubiquitous at one time, it’s hard to even find one now. There should be a list of books ‘most copies thrown in the garbage’.

  Diog, you are correct, there was no singing or music for a number of years under Rutherford. Knorr brought it back very soon afterwards. The display at Warwick doesn’t mention that.

  Actually, we did get a family photo with Caleb and Sophia, but my still-in daughter and son-in-law are in it and I didn't want to post it here. Another thing that I saw that I didn't get a photo of was the 'watchtower'. Yep, they have a watchtower there, an observation tower that you can go up and get a view of the entire campus and surrounding hills. It's not on the regular tour, but if you know someone there they can take you up it.

  One thing that struck me was was the drab, institutional appearance of the buildings at Warwick. Besides gray, I don’t think they have any colors on the exterior. Admittedly, winter in that area is bare and drab anyway, but the Warwick campus is especially dull.

  When did Watchtower writings start becoming anonymous?

  i think most people know that authorship was credited in the old watchtower literature, but at some point everything became anonymous.

  i still do not know exactly when this started, but i found this in charles taze russell's last will and testament.

  his will was not honored in other respects, so i doubt they would have honored this request.

  Calling All Watchtower Historians ... What was the V.F.V.?

  in the may 27, 1942 edition of the consolation, the watchtower society devoted several pages to the controversy surrounding the burial of joseph rutherford.

  in several sections, they write about "the opposition" in vague terms without much specificity as to who these other groups of people were who were supposedly persecuting them.

  one section refers to a group called v.f.v.

  she has a long list of names and addressees where the jws in field service never got anyone home.

  the letter is simply a word for word copy, handwritten on note paper, then sent in the usmail.

  I think they get all the names to match to addresses off the internet, in public domain. I think there are a fair number of letters returned with the incorrect name or address. The letter writer puts his or her name, first and last, on the return address, but the address is a PO Box for the KH.

The letter is simply a word for word copy, handwritten on note paper, then sent in the USMail. It seems like a terrible waste of time and effort. I am reminded of the Sherlock Holmes story ‘The Red Headed League’, where the criminals hired a red haired man to copy out the Britannica encyclopedia by hand , merely to get him out of his office during the day so they could dig a tunnel to rob a bank. Funny in a way.
