It's the worst report in many many years.
I still think there is an oddity with the peak numbers this time, causing it to be abnormally low. The ratio of peak to average publishers is lower this year than for 20 years or more.
so, spent a fair bit of time on the stats.. the 2010-2015 numbers are available here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0bwv5uvzb3-67axpzavk0m0nttfe&usp=sharing.
also there are spreadsheets of: ratios, peak-pubs, and the best is a combo of ratios, peak pubs & average pubs.. you can play with these by "select all" and "sort" according to your preference.. if you would like any other combination, i would try to create it and post it for you.. of interest:.
as has been noted, the biggest standout of 2015 is the increase of only 18k in peak pubs while having 260k baptized.

any body know?
if this has been discussed i missed it.
i think the january study watchtower is a concerted attempt to reduce the numbers claiming to be anointed.
but i love the sneaky way they go about it this time.

Thanks for making this available Dave,
I made a pivot table from the data and assigned approximate locations. Here is the result:
A couple caveats and words of explanation. Mexico is grouped with Hispanic &So America. The population of the 30 other lands is inferred to be 2 billion, since the WT chart leaves it blank and the world population is 7.3 billion.

I have found the issue is in the two files Yearbook Stats and Yearbook Stats by Field referenced in the OP. Now I am not sure if that is the official jw site or not. Anyway those two files (or whoever put them together) have attempted to show the different reporting changes such as when Czechoslovakia split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. These changes are not clearly shown and causes some of the totals to differ.
So the WT figures seem to be correct and the culprit is these two additional excel files.

There are still huge disparities between the grand total they give and the summation of the columns above. Just one example, the Memorial attendance:
