I am so sorry. My worst grief has been the loss of my mother. It still hits me hard, during waking hours and even in my dreams. They say that time softens the blow, and I know in reality that little time has gone by since my loss. In the mean time if you want to talk I am here. You made me that offer too didn't you? I have spent mostly a little lurking time here, with some light posting, but I will be here more soon. This is a wonderful forum with so many wonderful caring friends. David please count on your friends we are all here for you, okay?

yep, tonight is the night we have purchased our freedom.

yep, the boys can only say (no incidents to point to, no 2 witnesses) that they feel we are <gasp> apostates!

Congratulations! Freedom, what a beautiful feeling. I faded away after being re-instated. As far as I know I am not DA'd or DF'd (again) It wouldn't hurt my feelings if it were to happen with the one exception that I could lose contact with one of my family members. We finally worked through a lot of misunderstandings. I can say now that I live with a clean conscience, and hold no regrets on getting out.

i am new here and this is my very first post.

i've been following the message threads over the past few months and decided it was time to register.

(i couldn't decide on a unique username or else i would have done it sooner!).

Thank you for sharing with us. It helps to be able to relate to one another here. I have been out for a while too, and finally started to search for the truth about the "truth". My family enjoyed their first Chrismas this year too. Be thankful that your wife after getting involved with the witnesses was able to leave too.

Do you remember the "Marked Ones"

do you remember the "marked ones" within your cong, i remember a couple who you could see were trying there damm bloody hardest to be accepted within the congregation, always sat at the back never "invited into the fold" fully and there was always the "hmmmm dont associate with them too much, they are spiritually weak etc etc" i remember feeling so sorry for them but i just had to adhere to jah and his organisational ways.............sheesh !!!

I was marked too. Funny thing is, that if it weren't for the lack christain compassion, I wouldn't have been resentful and walked away from it all. Being "marked" did me a great favor in allowing me to step away and examine this cult for what it is.
