I had it frequently in my 40's when I was dieting and taking diuretics. Since then, I've been told that diruetics concentrate the uric acid. Maybe drinking lots and lots of water will help. Mine went away when I stopped the diuretics.

I saw it..............just in time. I think the show is pretty good. Tina Turner is amazing, to be able to do what she does at her age...........and in those high heels. Ouch.
I agree about Kanye. Creepy.

I forgot about it. It started 15 minutes ago, and I just tuned in.
When is the Beatle's tribute? I've seen the Cirque du Soleil's show in Vegas about Beatle's music and would love to see this. Hope I didn't miss it.

I watched his speech in Virginia last night, and was terribly impressed. His "hope message" is so powerful. It reminded me very much of John F. Kennedy.
He won our State yesterday 68% to 32% for Hillary, and it was similar in all the other states, that he won yesterday. It was a clean sweep.
I wonder if we dare hope he will win.

When, if ever, did you start caring about POLITICS?
by Open mind ini've said a few times on here that i'm 99% mentally free of jwism, or something similar.
but i think i may need to back that number down just a bit.. i now believe that this world is all we've got and that, collectively, it matters what we as a species do on this orb if we want to continue to spread our dna indefinitely.
(some would argue that human extinction would be a good thing, but i'm not in that camp.

I watched the Watergate trials back when Nixon was getting his ass kicked. 1972-73 I believe. I was 14 or 15 years old then. Worked as a scrutineer for an election then as well. Just applied this week for a job for Elections B.C. for 1 year of employment. (I am semi retired).
I was hooked on those hearings. My next door neighbor would come running over to see if I was watching, because it was getting so juicy. She said they were so much better than soap operas, which were preempted during the hearings. They went on for weeks it seemed.
John Dean handled himself so perfectly, and brilliantly...........I was impressed. Since then I've read all of his books. His one on the Bush administration "Worse Than Watergate" was very, very good.

That was really good reading. Thanks for sharing. Wish I had seen it sooner.
You did a great job.
One more point on the Mormons. When I was about 20, the Mormons had the same number of members as the JW's. The last time I saw a number is was 22 million. That's about 4 times the number of JW's. They are doing something very right. And their kids aren't retreating to the world in record numbers. They lose some, but most stay in the faith.
Don't worry, I'm not going to convert. Done with religion forever.

I was raised a JW, but my parents always watched the political scene and had opinions. They taught me to be interested because as witnesses you have to know these things to talk intelligently to prospects.
So, I've always been interested in politics and got my voter registration done as soon as I was out. This will be my third Presidential election.

If anyone here is as old as I am and remembers the 1960 Presedential campaign between Nixon and JFK.......Nixon's major cliche was "EXPERIENCE COUNTS". JFK was the newbie and he still won. So please don't sell Obama short.
Me too. I was in high school, and Dad made me watch the debates. They were excruciating. Nixon was terrible. By the way, Kennedy won by a very close vote. In no way was it the majority.
A glib speaker does not necessarily make the best candidate. But I think Obama is very compelling in his speeches. I have watched him since the Democratic convention 4 years ago. He is just awesome. I hope he wins, but I will support Hillary if she is the nominee.
Just think...................who would have thought it would be between a woman and a black man?

Quote: I want to see him debate ISSUES and be SPECIFIC.
I also watched the Hillary/Obama debate and thought he was very specific. Don't be sucked in by the media. They are the ones saying he is weak in debate. I have not observed that in any of the debates. They don't give them much time to make their point.
Romney is out now, and conservative radio today was saying Obama is the front runner. They also said that if you are a Republican and think Obama can't beat McCain, you are delusional. I was in the car and laughed out loud by myself to that one. I totally agree.
Ann Coulter is supposed to be on Larry King tonight, and I am anxious to hear what she says now. She hates McCain and said she would campaign for Hillary or Obama if he is the nominee. It makes for entertaining news programs.
Just be careful you aren't sucked into their "spin".

I voted for Obama for our primary in two weeks. I think he is just great, a breath of fresh air. His comments about religion solidified my opinion of him.
I like Hillary too, but will be cheering from the rooftops if Obama is the nominee.
Either way, I will vote Democrat this year.
I have cousins who live in Arizona, where McCain is the US Senator. They told me that he will say whatever he thinks you want to hear to get votes. They are very staunch conservative Republicans and they hate him.
It's going to be an interesting year.
