Didn't I read somewhere, that they are discontinuing the large District Conventions? That they are going to be more Circuit Assembly size? If that's true, this could be part of the reason why, cash in on those larger buildings. If true, I also see it about control, fewer "strangers" at smaller conventions. Easier to keep tabs on who is talking to whom.
I wonder if they tanked with their Hedge Fund gamble, hmm.

I was either trying to live up to impossible and insane standards of silly stuff ignoring the bigger stuff (mostly don't get caught), or I was the other extreme and doing it all, because it looks like I am one of those Jehovah doesn't want (cuz I couldn't believe 100%, so something obviously wrong with me *facepalm*)
Now that I am taking responsibility for my own conscience, I find doing the right thing, so much easier to do.

one thing i have observed being able to speak freely to individuals now about the wtbts is that even though they fade, they hold one to all or a portion of the doctrine.. if you examine the doctrine openly and fully you will see it has as many holes in it as the org does.
although it may appeal to you it doesn't make it sound scripturally.
Even tho I no longer believe anything the WT has to say about anything, but my issue isn't about most of the doctrine.
The more I learned about mind control, the less I could believe anything they said, and eventually broke free of all that WT induced fear guilt shame etc.
It is the MIND CONTROL I have issue with. They are a descrutive mind control cult, that's the issue.
I'm with Lady Lee, control. They can't have JWs bonding with each other, they may actually start to care and think. Too much "unsupervised" time to talk. They had to shut it down, information is everywhere, can't give them a chance to connect with anyone to talk about it.

i find myself attracted to certain authors and book series.. which reminds me, i need to download the grapes of wrath.. i love steinbeck's writing of historical fiction.
looking into the history of frontier america is so interesting when written in story form.. i read from most genres.. what's your poison?.
I read pretty much anything I can get my hands on. Except westerns and romance, not big fans of those. I of course have my favorites, but all in all, I just love to read.

Yup, the worst one was Avon Roses purfume. Holy stench batman. Then there was the atkins diet, everyone talking about how many ketones in their urine. The diet pills and vitamins crazes. Wing tip shoes. Haircuts etc.
Too bad they don't play follow the leader out the front door and away from the WT.
