Massive heart attack took the self-proclaimed "World's Oldest Teenager" earlier today in an LA hospital. He was 82.

The New Year's Eve party in NYC just won't be the same without him.

Scully I must be older than you, when I think of him I don't even think about New Years, my mind goes back to when I was growing up in the 60's to Saturday mornings watching American Bandstand, that is the Saturday mornings my mother decided not to go out knocking on those doors.

Does this mean it's going to be 2012 forever?

Altho I too remember him better as the American Bandstand host, he was a New Years eve fixture.

i remember watching american bandstand after school late 50's early 60's I loved it being an adolescent watching the older teenagers dance. Dick Clark's death causes all those memories to spill out

I remember Dick most fondly from Saturdays learning the new dances from American Bandstand. Then there was Pyramid and New Years Eve. He and my dad were the same age.
