they, the jehovah's witnesses, use 1 thessalonians 4:16, among many others, as a proof text for their claim.
for question #3) what does angel mean in this passage of scripture, if this angel is not a created angel?

How can people be so deceived...The Angel of The Lord...
Does anyone know if Moses or Abraham, Noah or Jacob knew who "The Angel of The Lord " was or is? Or were they so primative and stupid with no education....children almost... If you can determine what they knew about the person or person's revelating to them then you may begin to understand who GOD really is. Did any of them know who Jesus Christ was? What was there understaning of the animal sacrifices they were commanded to do. Were they kept so in the dark that who ever was giving them their revelations never revealed to them the mystery of this or the reason? What kind of ignoramouses has modern Christiandom spawned? (who really loves ya baby?)
Will the real Jehovah [yhwh} stand. ...here I AM!

I'm about half way completed with the Crisis of Conscience by Raymond Franz. Even though I find the book informative and fascinating in areas, I am also perplexed and even amazed why intellengent people ( if that is the case...I have no way of knowing..) could ever entertain the concept that the mysteries of GOD can all be known if we can just figure out His numbering system????? unbeleivable!!!!
some people never learn a thing...or they have learned too much about peoples natures....A good way to get ignorant people to follow you is tell them something they want to hear or is tantilizing to their ears. If promises are not fulfilled at the specified time the perpetrators can either blame the people for their stupidity for listening in the first place or they can up the anti and go for a new and even greater reward, thereby playing them for their natural greed and avarice. This is what precisely happened to the Watch Tower Society. The lies started to snow ball, many honest ( but stupid) people were sucked in. The bubble burst, new lies were devised, after all life is always pretty darn good at the top and it is worth the effort to save what ever can be rescued from a burning building or a sinking ship. New recruits come on board, not familiar with the history of deceit and coverup and the whole thing starts anew. Every once in a while a house cleaning needs to be done because conscience for some begin to surface and those with little conscience fear reprisals. The rebels are extricated and all is well for a time until the whole thing begins again.
The cheapest commodity in this world are people....there is never a shortage. If you don't want to be taken advantage of by those who prey on the stupid.... GET SMART!
Do you want to help bring down this leviathan of evil?.........
Who are the victims? It has to start with them... but they need to know that they will not be alone. That there will be people that will provide for them a refuge if needed. That the support will start with a group who organize a support group in place so when someone builds up enough courage to take on the Leviathan a support group and finacial assistance will be in place. ANYONE HAVE ANY TIME AND MONEY WILLING TO START THIS?

WITH THE KIND OF MISSIONARY ACTIVITY THE WATCH TOWER SOCIETY ENGAGES IN... MASSIVE!!!.[ AND NOW SOME FEELINGS ARE GOING TO GET HURT] INFORMED EDUCATED AND INTELLEGENT PEOPLE DON'T JOIN THESE KINDS OF GROUPS IN THIS COUNTRY. iT'S ALMOST MASS HISTERIA IN UNDER DEVELOPED COUNTRIES. BUT HERE IT'S PRACTICALLY NIL IN COMPARISON.
I've done some pretty stupid things in my life and I'm not proud of them....at the time I was uninformed uneducated and my intellegence was in hybernation. SNAP OUT OF IT!!! don't take everything so personally [ for those of you who are}. Fortunately, my JW friend and employer, wasn't able to persuade me of one solitary thing. but his deception countered every legitement argument I gave and it took twenty Years for me to see that. And that has made me angry.

The problem with having to worry about everyones feelings at a time like this....when you have the enemy by the short hairs.....we need to go in for the kill NOW!!!....if the people with the goods on them don't act now they WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE if only for the innocent who are going to be victims one day by this group. and the others need to face their sins and be given time to repent.
Who is going to act for the LORD? seems like always someone else. here's a chance for people to demonstrate their love , devotion and willingness to fight on THE LORDS side.
Trying to defend my statement regarding cowards would be an exercise in futility where some are concerned. The way one demonstrates their bravery is to act in the face of the fiercest revilement, the most hateful attacks, the most falacious lies and universal scorn and abandenment.

KNOW I HAVE SEEN IT ALL
by obiwan ini just talked to a friend that knows a jw that went to the district convention here in michigan a few weeks ago,this jw's father happens to be an elder.this jw told my friend that there was a person that was handing out fliers saying,"stop supporting child abuse" it went futher to quote dateline and other references about silent lambs.this jw also said that they called the police to try and stop this person from handing out fliers,but all the police could do was get them off the silverdomes property,so then this person was handing out fliers on the sidewalk.this jw went futher and said that the elders were going around trying to find out who had the fliers and confiscate them.this whole thing only went on for a short while as there was a brother that was directing people around this person so they would not get or see the flier.now you know if the role was reversed the jw's would be crying foul,i guess they forget how many times they went to court so they could "preach".

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think any of you grasp the "singular gravity" or the far reaching implications of the JW's entrance into the "GOTTCHA" world of pedophilia. This is not the same kind of coverup story the Catholic church has been engaged in for centuries with their clandestine pay offs and secret transfers. I believe in spite of their pedophile tendancies, these priest have genuine christian love [ whether GOD recognizes this or excuses their actions is a matter for HIM] BUT the JW issue is many many times different.
The absolute control question over the memberships thought processes, actions, and freedom to say what they want and when or where they want, is how this great bubble of hate, bigotry and control is going to FINALLY burst.
The people of this country, whether they realize it now or not, when they start to hear more of THE mockery by the JW's of BILL OF RIGHTS and literally spitting in it's face ( the recent supreme court decision over free speech rights handed down in JW's favor) and how these same rights are denied to their own membership, Sodom and Gamorah won't even be a distant relative.

I just read a remark that joining the JW's was no different than any other church. People join because thay find the people are nice and sociable. And I'm sure they are. I'm also sure that their intent is to be honest and forthright. But here is where the dark side enters in.
when someone swallows a belief or doctrine hook, line and sinker, they did because someone who taught them did the same thing.When you get back to the original guy who started the deception you begin to realize how such a disease of fraudulent and misinformation can ultimately be lost in the muck of time and denials. The wolves,it could be said to some degree, are innocent purveyers of the same lies if it weren't for the fact that they have allowed their fear of retribution from the local or governing body intiminate them into being a coward. And a coward is NOT to be excused. They can be forgiven but Not excused.
It is my contention that all of the ex JW's who were sold and then in turn resold the same lies and deciept. first need to ask the forgiveness of those they hurt and then we'll discuss those who hurt them. I have read the bleeding heart stories of woe is me but there is not much remorse for their own falacious actions.
It's exactly like the World War Two German people who were part of the atrocities and the cover up who claim innocent by way of "what could we do"?.......No apology was ever given for their cowardise.
The lives that have been ruined.....yes and possibly your own too ..needs justice to begin with...the mercy can come later. These boards and chat rooms are fine for licking your own wounds but how about the lacerations many of you inflicted on other peoples lives before you had the gumption to act or were forced to act as was mostly the case, I'm sure.
I have listened for twenty years to the deciept and lies of an employer and I thought a freind, but have come to realize not only his own brain washed personality cme into being because of his indoctrination as a child...( now 43 years old) but he was aware of the lies he was fostering thinking that his deceipt was and still is for the good of the "ORGANIZATION".[ The State, The Party, The FUERER!!! ZIG HEIL} If he ever does wake up I wonder how or if he will apologize.
Personally, I don't think it's going to matter. This latest pedophilia scandal now also hitting the JW's is finally going to bring this vile organization down. They won't be able to slither out of this one. As all false religion, and this has been one of the most detestble of the last two centuries and think they are going for a third, [makes me want to vomit], will be sucked up by the very system they have used { THE USA}, and not just used but vilified as some great evil. This government or any government is not the governing system GOD ultimately wants for his children, but governments through out the ages have been tolerated by Him because man has always rejected the true government of GOD. He allows us to make mistakes but by doing so he is also leading us and guiding us to a final understanding and repentace.....why? because we are not here because of retribution or to be part of some plan that justifies GOD"S rulership {how any thinking person can listen and believe this horse.....is beyond me} but because HE LOVES us...all of us without exception.
Anyone who doesn't FIRST understand this won't ever understand HIM!!!
If any persons on this board have ever been sexually assualted, molested or abused in any way by the members and officials of this GREAT ABOMINABLE CHURCH if you don't use all resourses available to bring to justice this church and its perpetraters, you will ultimately have to account for it.
If you are not constantly in the face of this LAVIATHON of EVIL than you have not broken away because your cowardice is still in control!
