Posts like this make me love God for his compassion and love for the human race...
But seriously, why would God have to destroy people in such a horrible, tasteless way when he could just make 'em vanish? Because the only people who'll have remembered any of this will be the people who will... live forever on paradise earth, right? So what's the point? Scaring the survivors into following him? Is God really that tasteless?
(couldn't help but notice the name of the picture... from the 'enjoy life' brochure? Hah! How to enjoy life when you have images like this? Little kids, if this is true, will see and hear people screaming, blood splattering all over the place, eviscerations, making the movie Hannibal look like Bambi, and they're supposed to enjoy it? and then he called god on them and a bear killed not only them, but also hundreds more???

Okay, that's one thing. But how about David? Didn't he rape and kill a woman's husband? And all he got as a punishment was his kid getting killed in Bath-Sheba's womb? Where's the logic in that??? The kid doesn't have anything to do with it... and the other kids who got mauled by the bear had no idea.
Anyone care to explain??? I'm puzzled...

of course, i had my reasons all laid out (going to the meetings would be hypocrite of my part, etc.
) but, surprisingly, she didn't ask for any reason.

Well, I work for my dad at a pretty low fee...I help him do some janitor work (don't laugh... it's pretty common in our cong.).
Darn....... I thought about it, and I can't see how this is a lack of respect. I mean, I still love my mom, as much as before, and I'm just trying to help myself, not put her down. Of course, this site is nevertheless the living proof that her years of pioneering were, well, not entirely worthy of her time. So I guess that could be an insult...

Aaaarrgh... I finally got the guts to tell my mom yesterday I wouldn't be attending any more meetings. Of course, I had my reasons all laid out (going to the meetings would be hypocrite of my part, etc.) but, surprisingly, she didn't ask for any reason. I think she knew it was coming...
So anyway, she wanted to make a deal. If I wasn't going to meetings any longer, then I wouldn't be going to ... "those" sites as well. Any site that would show a lack of respect of her. Since she's paying a part of the connection. Not all, but some. And the computer is in her home... which she's paying a bit for...
So my dilemna is as follows:
1. Should I decide to not go any longer on www.jehovahs-witness.com because it would show a lack of respect for my mom?
or
2. Should I continue going on www.jehovahs-witness.com because it has no insulting meaning to my mom which is paying for the connection, and since I'm completely addicted to this site, which would probably mean I'd come back anyway...Well, that's a doodle...
Can't wait for all those JW "friends" to come over inquiring about why I'm not coming to meetings... yeah right! As if! lol.
