  this is part of the speech that anthony morris iii gave during his time in the limelight at the 2014 annual meeting.. at 3.16.32 of the recorded meeting.

  But according to the OP he made reference to the "brothers."

  ...well it’s not me they need to worry about, it’s my Big Brother, THAAATS who they better worry about. Yeh, hmm, we had to pray for those brothers over there, (LAUGHS).

  He could have meant that they 'prayed for the brothers over there' because they suffered the same thing he did, but that wouldn't be a laughing matter, and he did add the LAUGHS. It comes across as if they were 'praying for the brothers' because they were going to have to face big brother.

  Am I missing something?

  Anthony Morris III publicly aired his differences with a branch? This brings a couple of things to mind.

  1) What happened to the world wide unity that Jehovah's Witnesses are always bragging about? This dispells that whole idea.

  2) I very much agree with Splash. Isn't it possible that some of the branch officials might also be of the anointed, therefore have the same "big brother?" What is Morris claiming, that 'my big brother likes me best?'

  The humility of Anthony Morris III is underwhelming, but it reveals the true nature of the Governing Body.

  Justice Robert H. Jackson summed up the controversy brilliantly: “If there is any fixed star in our constitutional constellation, it is that no official, high or petty, can prescribe what shall be orthodox in politics, nationalism, religion or other matters of opinion, or force citizens to confess by word or act their faith therein.”

  How sad that Watchtower's Governing Body does not practice the same high ideals.

  some were raised and eventually left, while others came in as adults.

  they range from sports players, musicians, and entertainers.

  Danielle Colby, star of History Channel's American Pickers.

  Wikipedia says,

  " Danielle Colby was born in Davenport, Iowa . She was brought up into what she called "a very loving but strict household" of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She has stated that her interest in burlesque dancing started at around 10 to 12 years old."

  As I read through these silly teachings I am comparing them with another WTS belief, that Jehovah's Witnesses are....

  'God's spokesman, God's mouthpiece, God's channel of communication to all mankind.' Really? Okie dokie.

  This religion has been crazy from day one.

  how can it be said that gods visible organizationwas made strictly theocratic or was fully theocratic in structure by 1938, when there are revisions and changes from time to time in organization instructions?.

  .. first of all, we must recognize what is meant when we say gods visible organization was made strictly or fully theocratic.

  the term theocracy means god rule or rule by god.

  Being "made strictly theocratic" by God is one of the many nice things Jehovah's Witnesses say about themselves.

  If the Governing Body Told You They Love You All Very Much, What Would Your Reply Be?

  in a letter in the 2013 yearbook of jehovah's witnesses, the governing body sign off with the words, "we love you all very much".

  these words were later echoed by one of the governing body in an address to french jehovah's witnesses in july this year.

  these words sound so marvellously compelling and heartfelt - goosebump inducing, even.. imagine the governing body wrote these words to you or expressed them to you in person- yes to you reading these very words.

  it was about examining beliefs.

  it was not the quote that said " study is hard work, bethel will do it for you.

  To garyneal and Others, Evidence that the anointed remnants represented by the GB were selected in 1919.

  1st evidence: the release of loyal jews from exile, made possible by the fall of babylon, foreshadowed the release in 1919 of anointed christians from spiritual exile.

  2nd evidence: that year marked the beginning of the period when the anointed remnants were released from a form of spiritual captivity to the ideas and practices of false religion.

  although having rejected such false teachings as the trinity and the immortal soul, they were still tainted by babylonish practices.

  where is mankkeli?

  I think Mankkeli is gone now, maybe he was banned. He kept coming back under various names, always with the same type of posts and arguements. I haven't seen him under any of his aliases in a while now.

  I'm very glad to hear of this new association. I too lean toward feeling that the name is a bit negative, but a name is small potatoes compared to the mission, which is outstanding. I look forward to joining in and contributing in any way I can to the success of this movement.
