They Need War Now
by metatron inhttp://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/10/26/israel-issues-warning-to-iran-over-nuclear-bomb-report/?intcmp=latestnews.
there have been similar headlines on usa today and the drudgereport.. they need ww3 and they need it now.. the israelis understand what will likely happen if peace with iran breaks out.
there will be a movement towards eliminating all nuclear weapons in the middle east and the intensification of declaring 'apartheid' as regards the palestinians.. in other words, the practical end of israel as a zionist state.. in addition, there are senators who lust for war (lindsay graham, etc) they realize that the fog of war would move the us towards becoming a full police state, eliminating what's left of the bill of rights and distracting the whole nation from its failing economy.. i think it's too late for a phony false flag attack - to blame iran for some made-up terrorist attack.

Metatron,
What about your alien buddies? Do they have a role to play?
The better documented UFO reports are encounters the military has had with them.
UFO's have been very menacing to military craft and missle installations.
They have demonstrated the ability to inactivate their fire power.
They aren't visiting to give us secrets of the universe and deprive humans of the process of discovery.
They might, however intervene if the sentient species of the earth were in the process of going to the point that "no flesh might be saved".

The reason behind why the ex-JW community can never match Jehovah's Witnesses' success.
by Stand for Pure Worship inan average of five kingdom halls being constructed daily, almost 8 million brothers and sisters, dissemination of bible literature in 595 languages, 111,795 congregations worldwide, distribution of 179 million bibles available in 116 languages, 239 countries where jehovah's witnesses have a presence, etc.. need i go on?.
on the other hand........... crisis of conscience, freeminds, the awaa, jw.net, ummmmmm........hmmm........idk six screens or something?
not exactly working out for you guys.

Stand for True Worship
Put aside all the tit for tat WWF BS exchanges.
Jehovah's Witnesses aren't constructed to surpass others in growth.
They are constructed to SURVIVE.
Massive Redundancy is the key. Massive redundancy is a familiar
term to engineers that have to build very expensive apparatus that
have to survive without a lot of external input. For example
satellites have numerous back-up systems that can carry on in case
of damage.
Yes Jehovah's Witnesses have been about numbers. That is a
human tendency - the "mine is bigger than yours" game. But there
are any number of crazy rules that if they were removed
(blood, birthdays, holidays, smoking) would add huge numbers.
Jehovah's Witnesses are more interested in the template of
membership than size. This forms a perfect matrix for additional
redundancies. That's why you could take a JW from any Kingdom
Hall and drop them off at any other Kingdom Hall in the world and
inspite of language differences they could easily get up to speed
with their new associates.
Every local congregation down to the service group level mirrors
every other congregation in the world. They are taught to respect
their leaders even though they are every bit as fallible as everyone
else. Everyone knows the rules. That's why they have so many
meetings. Everyone is sensitive to the slightest deviance from the
"party" line. As soon as an individual doesn't fit the template in
words or actions (including style of clothing) they are gradually
pushed to the periphery and if necessary they are expelled by means
of a judicial system. They have redundancy of leadership. If one
leader dies there is another to immediately take his place that is
familiar with all the rules and requirements.
This close association that is viewed by many of us as authoritarian
and repressive is the LOVE referred to at John 13:35, "Your love
for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples."
Don't look at the inter-congregational friction. Even a family that
appears ideal to people on the outside could be a mess of rivalries
on the inside. But you try to attack that family and they will close
ranks and set aside their personal problems. Many who leave JW's
cry out for "unconditional" love. A baby gets unconditional love.
An adult has to learn to love themselves.
The single factor that sets JW's apart for survival is that they view
themselves as alien residents. They are subjects of a different
non-earthly government. They refuse to let nationalism have the
same effect on them as it has the rest of the of the world . Even
voting isn't allowed which would fan the fame of loyalty to a
political party.
All of this is what you would expect from disciples of Christ.
Jesus spoke about a "great tribulation" that couldn't be compared to
any of all the woes humans have faced. A tribulation that would be
shortened to prevent human extinction. The date for this tribulation
was left open so he said "keep on the watch. That has been the
predominant theme of JW's. What do they watch? The main thing
is some kind of world event that says peace has been accomplished
followed immediately by an act of aggression referred to as a
desolating force standing where it shouldn't . That is the time for
flight. Flight is a recurring theme in the Bible. 1Thess 5:3 suggests
the need for escape. Christians are told to flee Babylon before its
sudden destruction. Flee Jerusalem. Rev. 13:10 advises "If anyone
is meant for captivity he goes away into captivity. If anyone will
kill with the sword he must be killed with the sword." Christians
have no swords because they don't have to do battle for survival.
They will willingly be captive or displaced persons knowing that
they will eventually be rescued. Sure there are other groups that are
close knit but they are divided in their loyalty by their willingness to
defend their motherland.
The discussion in the Bible about the great tribulation is associated
with the fall of the worlds governments. The people who will
survive will need massive redundancy. They will need to instantly
know who their brothers (allies) are. They will need to survive
huge population displacement. They will need to be able to
communicate without electronic technology. Jehovah's Witnesses
are distributed in such a way that messages could be transferred
over fairly short distances on foot. With the absence of
governmental agencies they will still have a useable judicial system
for settling disputes and dealing with the unruly. Every cell
(congregation) is intimately familiar with their local territory. There
would be no need for a displaced congregation to struggle with
orientation.
This is why JW could surive a catastrophe that would threaten the
whole human race.
As an atheist I still associate with JW's because I consider it a type
of survival insurance. I believe most of the Bible is like junk DNA.
It's sole purpose is to transfer to some group of people the
instructions and model for survival. The only way to assure its
replication is to embed it in a religious context which gives it sacred
status. I take seriously the prophecies that involve the need for flight
and the need to prevent total extinction of the human race. This
group of Christians play a little numerology game to keep up their
anticipation. They look for signs in the worlds affairs. Sometimes
they are wrong. This is necessary to keep this idea alive long
enough to form a large enough association to be noticed in a world
of billions of people. JW's are about the size of the average member
of the UN. They will stand out as survivors after the dust settles.
It seems nationalism is the enemy of mankinds progress. There
needs to be a reset. The reset is a catastrophic event that is so great
that the survivors never go down the nationalistic capitalistic road
again. Once humans start cooperating with each other they will be
able to join the Cosmic Federation of Culture Formed Worlds. It
sounds fantastic. It doesn't sound like the smooth course JW's
believe. If there really were an all powerful - all knowing being do
you think he might have prevented this miserable world from even
existing? He would have anticipated this terrible outcome and
would have never made humans. Instead it suggests that it is under
the direction of a Sky Kingdom of Aliens. Sentient Brothers from
other worlds who "feel" for us and have seen it happen many times
in many places. -

Wow!
He sure made an impact here. There's little I could add. I must confess I haven't read all the comments.
The interesting thing is that he is still in a relationship with us. He felt the need to say good bye.
In my life when people part ways and feel the need to explain themselves they have actually set the stage for a return.
The one thing you can say about his character is that he vascillates. This is a sign that he is high on the psychological trait of "openness to experience".
These people are dominated by their curiosity. They are always searching. They carry seemingly incompatible thoughts in their minds for a long time. Sometimes they
give up. But that is only part of the creative process they are going through. They can't live without giving their curiosity full reign.
My prediction is that he will be back.
Pay close attention to the newbies that come on here. We have over 8000 posts of his and he won't be able to hide his style.
He absolutely will be back. I know. I've been here before. This is now my third presence.

The GENERATION explanation is now a BOLD FACE LIE
by scotoma inwhen i first heard about the new "generation" explanation i was confused because i didn't see clearly how they were explaining it.. now it looks like they finally figured it out for themselves and it is no longer confusing.. it is now a simple, ignorant, bold face lie.. this is from the january 1st watchtower.
(and i hope to hell someone from writing gets wind of this).

Tim Hooper,
BALD-FACE BOLD-FACE BARE-FACE
All are acceptable and have associated origins.
I chose Bold-Face because it's in print. They actually printed their deception for anyone to see.
Of course considering the hair status of the majority of the Body of Governors it might be accurate to say bald-face lies.
I will now be on the look-our for one of Jehovah's pet she-bears.
That's a whole different topic. Why would Jehovah have a couple she-bears tear apart 42 kids. Were these super she-bears? Were they heat seeking she-bears?
Why didn't Jehovah just "poof" them. So dramatic. Shame on Elisha not being able to take a razzing so that he cursed them. And Jehovah with his borderline rage was quite willing to indulge Elisha.

Prologos
It must have been an exciting seance with Franz telling them how to get past the generation problem.
I thought about the Elijah-Elisha type from the old Let Your Name Be Sanctified book.
But it is clear they have a serious HTML 404 error when it comes to finding out what in the world Jesus was referencing.
It's amazing how they know what Jesus was thinking. They seem to have the ability to tap into obscure abstractions residing in Jesus' brain.
If only Jesus would have been able to think a little clearer he could have remembered where he said there would be two groups of annointed at the end.
The apostles could have used that information too. He was talking to his disciples when he said "this generation". So there had to be two groups way back then.
The only thing that is clear in their explanation is that they haven't the foggiest idea of what they're talking about. I would prefer to think they are simply lying at this point.
They can't be that ignorant. All the average JWs need to know is that the Body of Governors "just love this doctrine" and they will love it too.

When I first heard about the new "generation" explanation I was confused because I didn't see clearly how they were explaining it.
Now it looks like they finally figured it out for themselves and it is no longer confusing.
It is now a simple, ignorant, BOLD FACE LIE.
This is from the January 1st Watchtower. (And I hope to hell someone from writing gets wind of this)
Paragraph 15 page 31 Blue stands for the exact words in the Watchtower. The Red is my insertion.
Jesus said: "This {two group} generation will by no means pass away until all these things happen." (Read Matthew 24:33-35
Of course if you look up Matthwew 24:33-35 you won't find any mention of two groups. It also doesn't say "Truly I say to you that a future generation consisting of two groups will by no means pass away until
all these things occur." In fact you can read the whole 24th chapter of Matthew and throw in the 25th chapter of Matthew and you won't find any mention of two groups.
So then how can they make the next assertion
"We understand {interpret} that in mentioning "this generation," Jesus was referring to two groups of annointed Christians.
How can Jesus be referring to two groups of annointed Christians when there is no referrent. You can't refer to something unless there is a REFERRENT.
ref-er-ent : noun
1. the thing that a word or phrase denotes or stands for.
The rest of the paragraph defines the non-existent referent.
The best rebuttal in this case is: exactly where does Jesus specifically and unambiguously say that the words "this generation" refers to two groups of annointed Christians.
When they say "We understand" they don't mean "translate" they must be giving their own interpretation.
In fallacy world this is called:the fallacy of IMPROPER ACCENT.
This fallacy involves making an unwarranted conclusion by unusual emphasis on a word or phrase
or issue. Sometimes this is done by taking portions of a quotation out of context in a manner that
was not intended by the person quoted.
