The "Secrecy Policy

i've given this recent lawsuit quite a bit of thought and come to sound conclusions.

after examining other organization's child-protection policies (namely churches), what i've come to realize is there's a one-size fits all solution that's socially acceptable; all information obtained through witnesses and confessions by organizational personnel is be used to aid and abet law-enforcement.

there's no in-between or anything short of this objective that's socially acceptable.

How about changing the part where the elders tell the family they can't tell anyone in the congregation about what happened?

How about the elders going straight to the police?

How about that, for a start?

first of all i 'm sorry my english is not very good.. i am feeling very low at this point.

i am a single mother working full time.

i have a 9 year son.

Again, this is very serious and needs to be addressed by a professional right NOW. Holding a knife to someone's throat is not ADD. This not 'boys will be boys'.

This is dangerous, violent, criminal behavior in a 9 year old. This is abnormal behavior.

Don't freak out, don't freak the child out...just calmly get help NOW.

I am not being overly dramatic.

Do NOT wait for the next incident.

at first the sparlock thing was just a cute little diversion.

the icon of an amusingly out of touch cheaply produced dvd.

somehow it has spiralled into a kind of focal point of society bashing.

Here's the thing: He is OURS.

He validates our childhoods.

He looks absolutely absurd to people who have never been JWs.

He makes plain the emotional manipulation, stupid rules, lack of love, and other BS that is the WTBTS.

WE LOVE HIM! We like to play with him, dress him up, put him dating situations with a smurf, etc.

He's awesome.

And we're not throwing him away.

normally i don't go in for these conspiracy theory ideas, but a comment by kurtbethel on another thread got me to thinking.

might this latest dvd actually be proof that there are operatives inside watchtower hq who are deliberately sabotaging the society's material?

The GB just don't have any creativity for writing, no fresh ideas. They don't have much to dare to come up with any new prophetic ideas. Can't seem to write any kind of new 'book' size of anything. They have run themselves 'dry.'

Once upon a time, there was a cultish high control group run by a dude and then later by a group of Governing Dudes. The Dudes made predictions, made laws and were super awesome unquestionable rulers of the group. People flocked to join their high control group!

But then, the Dudes who were really in control started to die off. They had named some of the best cult members (yes men!) to take their places as Governing Dudes, but these replacements were not really Governing Dudes...they were just followers of the old Governing Dudes.

Once the followers were in charge, they just keep following their old dead leaders. They tried to copy the way the old Governing Dudes did things, but it didn't work.

Because these people are not really cult leaders, they are just cult members. Cult members with no leader.

This is not normal behavior. It shows lack of anger control, violence, impulsiveness. It may just be because of certain traits he was born with and have nothing to do with his parenting. Don't worry about the 'why' just worry about what to do now.

This is very serious.

Please get professional help, for your child's sake, right now. He MUST learn how to deal with stress and frustration NOW.

Your child threatened someone with a knife. This is a crime. He could be charged in juvenile court. If you are in the states, what happens to him there is a real question mark, depending on where you live.

If a professional checks out your son and says not to worry, this is a one-time thing...then ok.

But if your child needs help, then he needs help NOW.

Do not let this go.
