i've always wondered why it was, that when mankind was supposedly closer to perfection, god kept in direct contact with people either through angels speaking, or prophetic dreams, seas parting, etc.
but the further man got from perfection the less and less contact he gave people.
it seems like the worse off we are, the more help, or direction we would require.
Oh another thing about Lot,
When he was back in Sodam and Gamora (sp?), he had this angel visiting, but the angel looked like a man. Being cute and all the Homo's in towm lusted after this angel-man. This caused Lot great fear. Now, why did this angel put up with that crap. Being supernatural, could have beaten those Homo's to a pulp and save Lot a lot of grief.

Did you ever read the book ofJoshua? It's the account of the Israelites wiping out an entire nation, every man, woman, and child. Makes Hitler and Stalin look kind of tame. I think that just proves that Hitler and Stalin didn't have Jehovah's blessing like the Iraelites did. Hmmm, I wonder...if that's what the Modern Day Israelites (JWs) would do if they came into power, being God's choosen people and all.
Question: If two sisters get their dad drunk and then had sex with him, is that a disfellowshipping offense? I just wondered because that what Lot's daughters did. Of course, they did it way out in the mountains in a cave, so it did not reflect on God's organization. I wonder who told the story, so it could make it into the Bible - one of the sisters or the old man? You know, it's not the kind of story I'd bring up to a Bible writer.

It's real pretty and I'm glad that Jehovah taught her kids real good stuff, but what does that have to do with you and me? Oh yes, the woman means something, and the kids mean something 2500 years after it was written. Cut me a break!

I don't know why Paul talked about the oldies having great faith. I'll you what if God had conversations with me, I'd be a believer! That's not faith; that's hard evidence.
How could Jesus be tempted by Satan? After all, Jesus was God's right hand man, knew him the longest and Satan was just an underling trouble maker. I think, Jesus would have said, "Satan, you've got to be kidding. When I go back I'll rule the universe. Satan, you're even dumber than you look."

Well, MDS presents himself as someone who can explain it to us. However, he doesn't explain what is going to happen in 2001, or why 1931 is the start of a 70 year special period. You really can't "search the scriptures" as you suggest and get answers to these questions. Also, MDS has three groups now, the FDS, the Healing Staff of about 200 million, and the one third of the JWs who repent after being trampled for 42 months. Why does it take 200 million to "cure" 2 million JWs? After they are cured, the JWs are going to rule over billions, according to MDS. Who are these billions anyway. Also, who is this Healing Staff?

Under the subject of "Do we need a faithful and descreet slave", you said that people should keep going to the Kingdom Hall. (1-12-01 @ 1:41) Two days later, you said you didn't. (1-14-01 @ 3:09) Isn't this a contradiction?

You tell Ianao that he may understand some, but he doesn't undertand the truth. That is an assertion on your part with no proof. I could say the same about you. You could say the same about me. So what! It bothers me when people wrap themselves in "the truth". First of all, having absolute truth is unattainable, which has been proven over and over again. You or MDS may have some truth, but you certainly don't have anything close to all of it. I think that telling others that they lack faith or they are like the Pharasees is just a way to glorify yourself and demean others. Of course, I am insincere when I ask MDS for clarifation. Why? Because he says I am, and that must prove it.

I was the one that told MDS that I didn't need God's spirit to understand him. This was after I asked him to clarify an obscure statement. He insultingly implied that I was faithless and evil for not getting it. I fully understand his vague conclusions, but as with all "prophets" he won't provide enought detail to demonstrate whether his prophecies will come true or not. Rather than provide detail, he throws up more fog, insulting fog at that.

You said we need faith to accept someone's truth posted here. I don't accept anybody's assertions on faith. I look at the logic of their conclusions, and often they are found wanting. I don't have a copy of the Report. Does it tell what is going to happen at the end of the 70 year period ending in 2001? The author of the Report mentioned this date but never explained it. Also, he mentioned a seven year period and a 42 month period, but didn't provide any detail on these numbers at all. Can you help us here, logical?
